Re: Gameplay Project!

OK, I upped both quarterback focus rating to 95 and dropped all DBs agiltiy to 35 and played Chiefs vs Raiders with me being the Chiefs. Both teams moved the ball quite well. Cassel went 13-17 for 129 yards and no picks. Campbell lit me up 21-25 for 329 yards but he did throw 2 picks (not bad) which led to their demise as they did drive the ball well but also stalled out. I ran for 109 yards on 21 carries with Jamaal Charles and McFadden ran for 33 yards on 14 carries. Won the game 26-9 as I was able to score on both Raider turnovers. They went for two on the lone td and missed thus the 9 score.

Was somewhat pleased with the game but the QB completion percentage is high. Can't have it both ways I guess. Large completion rate or a pick fest.

Re: Gameplay Project!

I'm not a huge fan of setting all stats for safeties/cbs to a fixed number, it takes away individual differences between players. I do the % decreases to get them to around that range instead. Its good for testing though.

For the Oline, instead of making the Dline very low stats (some people suggest making all stats 10 for dline), i enabled large values and simply beefed up the Oline above 99 to the 130-140 range for their focus/str and reduced dline to have strengths from 15-30s instead. I think this accounts for more uniqueness among players instead of having all players at a certain position carbon copies of each other with fixed stats.

Re: Gameplay Project!

How does the bronze, silver , and gold type effect how a player plays ?

Also, how does form effect the 4 attributes ?

Are there hidden attributes ?

Yeah.. I was curious as to how just upping the overall % of Offensive Lineman capabilities vs lowering the Dline would effect the gameplay. Any results on that?

Here is what I would do (have ps3 version right now).. but if we can get a good mix I will switch to the 360 version

I would raise the OL's % up above like sctvorp suggested. Then raise the % of qb focus. And move the % of DB's focus down.

Anyone do anything similar with some results?

You can always lower the focus and agility of the receivers and that way they won't catch everything thrown at them either. This way the completion %'s will be more realistic as a result.

Re: Gameplay Project!

I made some updates to the scale.

-Lowered the minimum QB focus to 80. Scrub QBs will stay at 80, proven QBs and starters will be upped to 85, above average QBs will be 90, elite QBs 95, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees 100.

-Raised the minimum OL focus to 90. Teams with elite OLs will have the entire group raised to 95. Individual elite OL will be 100.

-Lowered minimum focus of all defensive players to 50 and the maximum to 90

-Raised the minimum and maximum QB agility to help them be more mobile in the pocket and avoid sacks.

-Raised OL agility to 60 to help them roam around better and initiate blocks.

-Raised K agility to 55.

-Raised OL speed to 60 for the same reason as agility.

-Raised minimum QB strength to 55 to help them get more zip on passes.

-Raised OL strength to 100.

-Raised minimum DB strength to 50. Raised the maximum to 75.

-Raised K strength to 50 so they'll get more distance on kickoffs.
