I hope BB has success.

I just don't have expendable income laying around to spend extra money on untested video games. To me, it's similar to a car model that hasn't entered the market, yet. I'm not going to buy that car on day 1 until I road test it(demo/rent) and do some market research on it. (OS people I trust)

Hopefully, that takes the curiosity out of it for you.

Unfortunately your mentality is the majority's, and why Madden sales so well. I've been following the NFL since '64, love the NFL and it's rich history, but will take a much better football game over the NFL license any day of the week. Actually guys like you irritate me...Period.

The dude asked why someone's not excited. This is why I'm not excited.

If you're happy playing generic football, more power to you.

You know Sega, I bet if a company did it the right way with making team names that sounded legit and uni's that looked legit... and built a real league presence that felt legit... I bet you'd be more interested. I think the problem is that games like APF got this all terribly wrong and it was a such a huge letdown from that standpoint that it's killed enthusiasm.

I admit, I do like APF but the teams are just GAWD-awful. They really went off the deep end with that. They certainly could've done a lot better.

At least I know what type of people that buy madden every year.( Just because it has a license. So dev team doesn't have to do **** to improve the game.)

Sorry, I shouldn't have put it that way. I will only be happy will generic football if a really good game comes out. Of course I'd rather have the NFL license too.
