Re: No Injuries?

ok about the No Fatigue thing.... I had a major problem with it initially.....and the first thing that came to my mind, and I'm sure others, is....what happens if someone creates a stud RB and runs the ball over and over and over....and tries to get 3+ yards every play..

well yesterday I thought of something that can combat this to an extent....

if you decide to play someone random online, it seems the match up screen will tell you what type of Team they are about to use....as well as what they like to do...

so if I see someone with a power running team, and it says "Punishing Backfield"....then I will know what to expect...and I might pick one of my created teams that has a strong run defense...

or if I just want to stick with my favorite team, then THIS is where all those extra roster spots come into play.....I would have Major Beef as backups, that I would put into the game as the game goes on if I notice he is just running the ball over and over.....so big RB meet BIG LBs....

and after a couple of stops, he should be before forced to change it up alittle....and then I would have to adjust accordingly...but since I'm an all around type of baller, I'm good....where as this spam runner who thought he could cheat the system might have troubles adjusting quick enough...

if you have your team ready, you should be good.....other wise, play people you know...

It seems some think that the RB is only guy that won't get fatigued, but don't forget the players on defense don't as well......and its not like, judging from the videos, it will be simple to run the ball.

I guess every video game in history has a broken fatigue system. Tell all game companies no more fatigue since non of them work. Great concept

Sorry I couldn't help myself. You left a hanger over the plate. Seriously though how can they not at least put in a bare bones fatigue system. Is it really that hard to incorporate. There have been lots of games with solid fatigue systems. It makes no sense.

OK-Video game companies-"if your fatigue system doesn't work don't put it in."

It's a VIDEO GAME. Everything WILL NOT be realistic. If you want your games to be so realistic, go out and play some REAL football.
The go out and play some real football arument is plain stupid. Just save that, it doesn't even makes sense.

How it's implemented in other games is irrelevant as well. People keep saying BB's gameplay will stand on it's own merit. You can't have it both ways. No matter how you slice it, no matter how you and Jaybee and the others make excuses, it's still a glaring omission, especially for a game that was supposedly in development for so long. No injuries most definitely takes some of the luster out of franchise modes.

Still getting the game, still hopeful and optimistic on the game, but there's no way you can excuse away the fact that not having injuries or fatigue are big omissions.

I agree with you on the part where I said 'go out and play' was dumb. I has half joking(lol, half).
I never said they weren't big omissions, because they are important...but IN MY OPINION I can live without it and it's nothing that really bothers ME.
I'm not making excuses...I was simply pointing out that games in the past haven't always done it right. I'm not one to really compare a game that hasn't come out to games that have stood the test of time, though.

I don't really understand why people have to constantly call me out for having a freaking opinion. I have "defended" this game, but I have never stated anything like "it's gameplay will stand on it's own merit" or "this game will be great."
I have said it has the potential to be great, but that doesn't leave some doubt in my mind that it could be an epic failure.

I respect the simple fact that they want to get things right before they implement something, unlike that other football game developer.

Ah, I had some good times in GF, ND. I think BB will do well.

Again, the other game is irrelevant, nor do I believe the other game company doesn't want to get it right.
