TORONTO --
The Jays continue their hot streak, extending their winning streak to 7 games by beating Seattle in game 2 by a score of 7-2. RA Dickey finally got back on track pitching 7.2 innings of 7 hit 2 run ball while fanning 7 batters and walking 2. He was a little wild though as he threw 4 wild pitches including 1 that scored the 1st run of the game for the M's. He also hit a batter in the win.

Seattle could generate any offense despite the wildness, as the only other run they scored was off a Morales RBI single. The Jays got 3 homers off of the rookie Maurer who lasted 5.2 innings allowing 14 hits, 6 runs while recording the loss. Rasmus hit a 2 run HR, while Encarnacion and Bautista went deep for solo HR's against him. Cabrera and Rasmus also added RBI singles in the game to secure the win.

Notes:
- Toronto claimed 1B Ty Wigginton off waivers from St. Louis. He was designated for assignment by St. Louis and claimed by Toronto. He will function as 1B depth and pinch hit duties
-
SS Munenori Kawaski was sent to AAA in a corresponding move for the Wigginton claim. He only appeared as a defensive sub, and wit Bonifacio playing well he wasn't needed.
-
The finale will see Aaron Harrang (2-3/4.35/1,71)take the mound for the M's against Josh Johnson (5-0/2.81/1.13)
-
Encarnacion AND Bautista will get the day off for Toronto, thier first rest day of the year after starting all 31 games at 1st/RF. Wigginton will play 1B and bat 7th, while Davis will start in RF and bat 8th. The Jays have a 4 game series against Tampa next so figure this is a good time to give both sluggers days off.

TORONTO -- The Jays hit around Seattle in the finale despite having 2 of their best players in Encarnacion and Bautista in the lineup due to rest. Josh Johnson was lights out pitching a complete game 3 hit shutout. Harrang wasn't so good, pitching only 4 innings allowing 13 hits and 10 runs.

The Jays weren't doing damage by the long ball this game but with base hits, getting a massive 24 hits of Mariners pitchers. Cano was the only player to go deep, doing so twice for 4 RBI on the night. Crisp, Cabrera and new pickup Ty Wigginton all collected 2 RBI, while Bonifaco, Roberts and Davis also got in on the action with 1 RBI. The whole team collected at least 1 hit, and 4 Toronto batters had equal to or better hitting games than the whole Mariner team combined.

Notes:
- The Jays will be off to Tampa to face the Rays for a 4 game series. In game 1, newly acquired Matt Garza will make his Jays debut going up against tough young Matt Moore for the home team.
- Encarnacion and Bautista will be back in the lineup after rest days batting 4/3 respectively and playing 1B/RF respectively.
- Melky Cabrera will get his 1st rest day of the season. Rajai Davis will take his spot in LF and bat 8th.
- Rasmus will sit vs. the LHP, Wigginton will get the start at DH batting 7th.
- Izturis will get a start at SS giving Bonifacio a rest after starting the last 5 at short. He will bat 9th.

TAMPA BAY -- The Jays finally come back down to earth after a magnificent home stand, losing game 1 to the Rays by a score of 2-1. The Jays couldn't get anything going against young lefty Matt Moore who pitched a complete game allowing 7 hits 1 run in the win.

Matt Garza made his debut for Toronto, and it was a great start as he pitched 7 innings, only allowing 4 hits and 2 runs, but both runs were solo homers. He struck out 6 and only walked 1 in the hard luck loss.

In the 1st, Joyce smacked a solo HR and then next inning Duncan followed suit by smacking a solo shot of his own, 2-0 Jays. Moore was dominate shutting down the Jays big bats which saw Cano and Bautista go 0-8 which is the first time for this alll year. JP Arencibia did get a solo HR in the 7th to make things interesting. In the 9th, Bautista and Encarnacion both drilled hard hit balls to the warning track and then Arencibia singled with 2 out. Bonifacio came in as a pinch runner and stole 2nd, but Roberts grounded out to end the game, 2-1 Rays.

Notes:
- Game 2 will see Brandon Morrow (3-1/2.37/1.32) take the mound for Toronto against rookie Chris Archer (1-2/5.33/1.56)
- Ryan Roberts will get a day of rest, Wiggington will start at 3B and bat 8th for Toronto.
- Melky Cabrera will be back in after a day of rest, in LF batting 5th
- Bonifacio will be back in at SS batting 9th, Rasmus will DH and bat 7th

TAMPA BAY -- After losing game 1 in Tampa to the Rays, the Toronto Blue Jays have lost game 2 in a very hard fought after Desmond Jennings hit a walk off double to win it for Tampa in the bottom of the 9th.

Toronto's starter Brandon Morrow didnt quite have it today allowing 9 hits and 5 runs, 4 earned over 5 innings while striking out 5. Tampa's rookie starter Chris Archer was equally unimpressive going 5 innings as well allowing 11 hits and 3 runs, while walking 2.

Toronto opened the scoring with an Encarnacion sac fly, but Morrow allowed a Joyce solo HR and Scott RBI double in the 4th to make it 2-1 Rays. Arencibia would hit a 2-run double next inning to make it 3-2 Toronto, but it would be short lived as Joyce hit a RBI single, followed by a Longoria 2-run single to make it 5-3. Next inning the Jays would continue to push as Melky Cabrera came through with a 2-run double down the line in right. The bullpen for both teams would shut down the bats the rest of the way until Olive allowed a hit to Molina, then Fuld, who pinch ran for Molina scored on from 1st on a Jennings slow rolling double down the line in right, game over, Rays win game 2, 6-5 walk off style.

Notes:
- Toronto will try and get back on track in game 3 of this 4 game series, as Michael Pineda (3-1/4.63/1.31) takes the mound against Jeff Niemann (0-4/11.84/2.53) for the Rays.
- Roberts will be back in the lineup playin 3B and batting 8th.
- Bonifacio will continue to play SS and bat 9th despite 6 errors already.

TAMPA BAY -- The Rays won the 1st 2 games of this 4 game series, but Toronto wasn't having any more of that. They decided to really take it to Tampa's struggling pitcher Jeff Niemann and destroy them 15-5. They showed the fans of Tampa why they are 1st in the division with the win.

Niemann drove his ERA to 12.00 in the loss giving up 11 hits, 7 runs in 5 innings. His opponent Pineda got the win but didnt pitch real well. He struck out 8 batters but allowed 8 hits and 5 runs in 5.2 innings. His biggest mistake was a 2 run HR to Matt Joyce that brought the Rays within 1 in the 5th. The rest of Tampa's offense came by Molina who had a sac fly, and RBI single for 2 RBI in the game. Duncan also had a RBI single in the 4th.

Toronto's offense came again by the long ball. They got homers from Cano, Arencibia, Rasmus and 2 from Encarnacion, giving him 20 HR and 50 RBI already in the season. Melky Cabrera had a strong game hiting a double and tripple driving in 2 runs. Bonifacio only had 1 hit but it was a 2 run single, Bautista had a 2 run single, Cano a RBI double and EE a RBI single to round off the 15 runs. Encarnacion was the player of the game going 5/5 with 2 HR, 4RBI and 2 doubles and 3 runs scored. Easy MVP candidate right now.

Notes:
- The finale will see RA Dickey (2-3/6.15/1.56) take the mound for Toronto against tough lefty David Price (2-4/4.23/1.38) for the home Rays.
- Thole will catch Dickey batting 8th, Arencibia will DH and bat 6th.
- Davis will bat lead off and start in CF, Coco Crisp will get his first day off after playing in every game since the trade to Toronto.
- Izturis will get a start at SS and bat 9th, Bonifacio will get a day off.
