The Detroit Tigers are gearing up for the 2015 season. Spring Training in Lakeland is just days away.

Brad Ausmus returns at the helm of the team, no longer a rookie manager.

Many remember 2014 when Jim Leyland announced his retirement from baseball after eight years with Detroit.

The Tigers have been baseballs ultimate underachiever since they shocked the sports world in 2006 by marching to the World Series, only to lose to the Cardinals. The Tigers have been successful, that is not the issue.

Fans are tired of just winning seasons, they want championships. Tigers fans want to forget the end of 2014 which saw them get defeated by the Baltimore Orioles in the American League Division Series.

The loss sent chills down the spines of fans and they demanded changes, so the front office complied. Free agents Max Scherzer and Torii Hunter left for other teams at the end of the year while Rick Porcello, Eugenio Suarez, Robbie Ray, and prospect Devon Travis were all lost through trades.

Prospects are something the Tigers are lacking, or are they?

Here is a list of the top prospects in the Tigers organization.

On the receiving end, the Tigers traded for slugger Yoenis Cespedes, relief pitcher Alex Wilson, speedy outfielder Anthony Gose and starting pitchers Alfredo Simón and Shane Greene.

The Tigers were one of the more "active" teams during the 2015 off-season.

Will the aggressiveness pay off? Only time will tell!
