How are you managing to hit .290 with 35 doubles with Jansen?! I’m 100 ABs in and he’s hitting .157 with no pop!

No idea to be honest. I notice that I hit a lot of doubles into the opposite field gap with Jansen, but I'm sure that's not the answer to your question lol

Blue Jays Sign Craig Kimbrel

The Toronto Blue Jays have made their first signing of the 2019-2020 offseason, inking reliever Craig Kimbrel to a one year, $6.8M contract. The 31 year old Kimbrel did not appear in the MLB last season after declining his qualifying offer and was unable to find a suitable deal. The well-accoladed former Red Sox closer will take a pay cut as he looks to get his career back on track.

Kimbrel pitched to a 2.74 ERA in 62.1 innings of work out of the back end of the 2018 championship Red Sox team, racking up 42 saves to go along with a 0.99 WHIP.

This looks to be a good signing for the Blue Jays, who saw their bullpen struggle throughout the majority of the 2019 season. Should Kimbrel return to his previous all star form, there is high potential for the Blue Jays to flip him for some prospect at the trade deadline given that they are not contending at the time.

Blue Jays Ink Extensions With Grichuk, Giles, Stroman

A day after signing reliever Craig Kimbrel to a one year contract, the Toronto Blue Jays announced several contract extensions with their core players. Randal Grichuk, Ken Giles, and Marcus Stroman have all agreed to contract extensions with the Blue Jays, effectively avoiding arbitration for all three players.

Giles, whom the Blue Jays acquired from the Houston Astros two seasons ago, racked up 40 saves in 55 games out of the bullpen for the Blue Jays. The hard throwing right hander represented manager Charlie Montoya's only true reliable option out of the bullpen, holding down the fort in high leverage situations all season long. Giles' deal will be a two-year contract extension worth a reported $13.6M.

Outfielder Randal Grichuk surpassed the 100-RBI mark for the Blue Jays, smacking 36 homers and 33 doubles out of the top of the lineup. Grichuk has found a groove with the Blue Jays, putting his right-handed power swing to use at the hitter-friendly Rogers Centre. The 27 year old right fielder will make $19.5M over the next three years as he looks to keep up his steady offensive production.

Lastly, the Blue Jays announced that they have locked up ace Marcus Stroman for the next three years at a reported $24.1M. After a rough 2018 season, Stroman bounced back with his best season in the big leagues, posting a 3.09 ERA in just over 218 innings of work. Aside from Matt Shoemaker, Stroman looked like one of the few starters capable of handling big league pitching.
