KINGS LOSE IN UGLY FASHION
SALT LAKE CITY -- It was an ugly game for both teams, but the Utah Jazz were able to outlast the Kings 83-71.
The stat lines told it all for the Kings. "I would call that our worst game all year," said Coach Henderson after the game. The Kings were able to muster up all of 10 points in the 1st quarter. It only got worse from there. The Kings only shot 27-67 from the floor for the entire game.
"Games like this are just unacceptable," said Andre Drummond. "We all know that we are better than this, and we are going to prove that in our next game."
Things could only get even worse for the Kings. Tyreke Evans sprained his ankle early in the 1st quarter, but was able to return in the 3rd quarter. It wasn't long before he went up for a jump shot and was knocked down. He grimaced in pain, walking off the court holding his lower back.
The team trainer reported that he had a lower back strain and would miss the remainder of the game and also the next 1-2 weeks.
The leading scorer for the Jazz was Alec Burks with 19 points. The Jazz improve to 13-7 winning their 3rd straight game.
The Kings have the next three days off before traveling to Atlanta to face the Hawks. They will continue on this 5 game road trip.
