Re: #TakeNote - Utah Jazz 30-Team-Control MyLeague (2k18)
I don't know about running both Bledsoe and Walker on the floor, but both of them can be imposing scorers - the question mark is rather on the fact that who will give the ball over?

Definitely Kemba's team, still. He'll receive the bulk of the touches. Thanks to his shooting ability, he should be a great fit offensively next go Bledsoe, as he can create for his own and others but can also spot up and knock down open shots. Think Kemba's assists drop a bit, but his scoring stays right where it's at.
Defensively should work okay. Kemba-Bledsoe-Batum-Williams-Howard is a really good defensive starting lineup with plenty of shooting and spacing. I think making this move elevates Charlotte back into that top tier with Washington, Boston, Toronto, and Cleveland. Kemba can guard one's and sometimes smaller two's who cant create that well offensively. Bledsoe can guard one's, two's, and occasionally the small three.
Once Batum returns, I think Charlotte will go on a tear.

The Jazz started the week off on a high note once again, notching a win over the Philadelphia 76ers on the road. The Jazz outshot Philly 56% to 40% from the floor. Rudy Gobert absolutely dominated Joel Embiid. Gobert had 31 points and 19 rebounds off of 12 for 15 shooting and 7 of 8 from free throw line. Embiid on the other hand had 8 points, 7 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks, nearly putting up a 5x5. Donovan Mitchell added 18 points off of the bench in the win. Ricky Rubio had 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 12 assists with just 1 turnover as the Jazz win 124 to 89.
Utah then returned home and turned their focus on the Chicago Bulls. Utah got out to a 30-10 lead after the 1st quarter, and they never looked back. Donovan Mitchell had 27 points in 27 minutes, and veteran Joe Johnson added 18 points and 5 rebounds in just 20 minutes of play. Gobert had 12 points and 19 rebounds, and he didn't even miss a shot, shooting 6 for 6 from the floor. Utah picked up a 112 to 80 win in their first game at home since November 13th; they grab their 11th straight win.
But finally, the Bucks came into Salt Lake City, eager to take out the league's hottest team. It took an overtime period, but Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks managed to get a 104 to 102 victory. Antetokounmpo had 32 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in 46 minutes of play. Khris Middleton had 22 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Utah got 28 points and 11 rebounds from Gobert, as well as 4 blocks, as he shot 14 for 19 from the floor. Ricky Rubio had 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, but shot just 4-20 (shout out to klay thompson) from the floor and 0-5 from three. Thabo Sefolosha did add 13 points in just 11 minutes of play.

Lakers forward Julius Randle suffered another broken leg injury this past week. Randle, having missed his rookie season due to this exact same injury, wasn't playing particularly well for the Lakers, but he was in a contract year, trying to prove his worth in the NBA. He was averaging 8.2 PPG, 4.9 PPG, and 1.8 APG this season. Unfortunately for Randle, it's likely that he will miss the remainder of the season.
New Pacers point guard Cory Joseph suffered a torn achilles this week. Joseph went out only 3 minutes into the game with the Orlando Magic on the 20th. He is expected to miss the season, but make a full recovery next year. He was averaging 7.8 PPG, 2.9 RPG, 2.9 APG, and 1.1 SPG.
Jimmy Butler went down this week with a torn MCL. This is going to be a huge test for the young Timberwolves with their veteran leader missing at least a full month or two of time. Can Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins step up to the challenge? The Wolves are sitting at 12-7 right now. Butler is averaging 18 pointers per game, along with 7 rebounds and 4.6 assists.
Re: #TakeNote - Utah Jazz 30-Team-Control MyLeague (2k18)
Blake Griffin was a handful, posting 22 points, 7 boards, and 4 assists in just 27 minutes.
Griffin's 22 Guides Clippers Past Jazz 113-89
November 30th, 2017
Some nights, your shot just doesn't fall. That was the case for the Utah Jazz, who dropped their 3rd straight loss after going on an 11 game winning streak at one point. Utah jacked up 41 three-pointers, but missed all but 9 of them, as they struggled to get much of any offense going. Rudy Gobert had a team-high 14 points and 18 rebounds, as well as 4 blocks, but it was just too much to overcome for the Frenchman. Derrick Favors missed the game due to a sore right knee, and Joe Johnson started in his place. The veteran struggled on both ends in his first start of the season, putting up 10 and 5 off of 4 for 13 shooting.
Alec Burks had 12 points in just 14 minutes off of the bench as he tried to get some offense going for the Jazz. Donovan Mitchell had 11, 3, and 5, but shot just 5 for 13 from the floor and had 4 turnovers. Ricky Rubio struggled offensively, as the Jazz's leading scorer on the season had just 5 points off of 2-10 shooting. However, Rubio did add 9 assists to his statline in the losing effort.
Ekpe Udoh sends a shot flying back, 1 of Utah's 7 blocks on the night.
Austin Rivers put up an efficient 18 and 4 for the Clippers, as he shot 7 for 13 from the floor and 3 of 8 from three. Danilo Gallinari was even better, putting up 18, 4, and 3 while shooting 8 for 11 from the floor. DeAndre Jordan hung with Gobert on the glass, as he put up 10 points and 18 rebounds, as well as 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 4 steals.
The Jazz lose their 3rd straight game and fall to 15-7, 3rd in the West. The Clippers improve to 14-6 on the season, tied with Utah for the 3rd spot at 2.5 games behind the 17-4 1st place Spurs. Utah finishes up the week with a home game against the Pelicans tomorrow night in Salt Lake City.
Re: #TakeNote - Utah Jazz 30-Team-Control MyLeague (2k18)
Okafor to Bulls, Mirotic to Pelicans In 3-Way Trade
December 1st, 2017
After months and months of trade rumors, Jahlil Okafor has finally been traded by the Philadelphia 76ers, as he heads to his hometown Chicago Bulls. All the Bulls had to give up for Okafor was Nikola Mirotic, who was in an altercation with teammate Bobby Portis, causing Portis to literally break his face. Mirotic isn't going to the Sixers, however, as he's going to the New Orleans Pelicans, who are in desperate need of shooting and wings. In return for trading the former #3 overall pick Okafor, the Sixers receive the undesirable Omer Asik contract, but they also receive a lottery protected first from the Pelicans. If the Pelicans don't make the playoffs, then next year the pick will only be Top 10 protected. The after that, Top 5, and then after that, unprotected.
So, for Philly, they cut the dead weight of Okafor, who was never going to crack the rotation anyway for the Sixers, and although they bring in some dead money in Asik, they also receive a guaranteed first in the future from New Orleans. So basically, receiving a first for Okafor isn't bad at all, it's just they have to pay Asik's contract.
The Bulls had nothing to lose by bringing in Jahlil Okafor. Either Mirotic or Porter needed to go, and it was going to be harder to deal Portis after he socked his teammate, so it was down to Mirotic. Now, they get to take a flier on a former #3 overall pick in Okafor who put up 17 and 17 his rookie season. Not bad, Chicago.
The Pelicans take on a bit of risk here by bringing in Mirotic. It looks like a bad deal for them because they traded a first for Mirotic, but getting rid of Asik's contract and bringing in Mirotic's expiring is going to be huge in them trying to retain DeMarcus Cousins this offseason. Plus, Mirotic could be a great fit next to Davis and Cousins in the frontcourt, whether he starts or comes off of the bench. With his shooting and playmaking abilities, he should be able to make an impact on a Pelicans team in need of some wings.

The Jazz actually lost 3 straight games after going on an 11 game winning streak the past few weeks. It started last week with the 104-102 overtime loss to the Bucks at home. But then it continued Tuesday night against the Denver Nuggets. The Jazz got off to a very poor start, as Denver led them 35 to 22 after the 1st quarter, and 64 to 50 at halftime. The Jazz got it going in the second half, but they still fell 109 to 102. Ricky Rubio had 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 13 assists while shooting 11 for 20 from the floor and 4 for 6 from three. Gobert had 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 blocks, and Mitchell had 15 points off of the bench, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Nuggets. Paul Millsap had 22 points and 15 rebounds off of 9 for 16 shooting. Nikola Jokic was at it again, posting a near triple-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Will Barton and Mason Plumlee combined for 33 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks off of the bench. Plumlee shot 8 for 8, and former Jazzman Trey Lyles shot 3 for 3 against his former team, posting 11 points.
Thursday night against the Clippers, Utah got ran off of the floor in the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Jazz shot just 42% from the floor, while LA shot 52%. Blake Griffin had a very good night, shooting 9 for 18 from the floor to put up 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in just 27 minutes. Austin Rivers had 18 points and 4 assists, and Danilo Gallinari had 18 points, 4 boards, and 3 assists. Rudy Gobert led the Jazz with 14 points and 18 rebounds, as well as 2 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks. Alec Burks had 12 points in just 14 minutes. Donovan Mitchell had 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists, but shot just 5 for 13 from the floor.
However, Friday night we saw the Jazz get back in form defensively, allowing just 93 points from a potent offensive team in the Pelicans. While Utah shot just 42% from the floor, they were able to hit 53% of their three pointers, as well as 78% of their free throws, as opposed to New Orleans' 67%. Rudy Gobert had 21 points and 14 rebounds off of 9 for 17 shooting from the floor. Ricky Rubio had a very good game, posting 18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals off of 6 for 14 shooting, and 2 of 2 from three. Donovan Mitchell shot just 3 of 10 from the floor, but he hit 2 of 3 from three and 5 of 6 from the free throw line, putting up 13 points and 3 boards off the bench. Joe Johnson struggled in his 2nd start, putting up just 4 points and 6 boards in Derrick Favors' second straight absence. Davis and Cousins combined for 41 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 7 blocks, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Jazz.
Utah takes on a very tough stretch this week, playing Washington at home on Monday, followed immediately by a game in OKC on Tuesday, then back home for a meeting with the Rockets on Thursday, and a Saturday night matchup in Milwaukee with the Bucks.

It was a rough week for Rockets fans. As soon as Chris Paul returned from injury, the very same game, Eric Gordon tore his ACL. Gordon was averaging a career-high 22.4 points per game while starting in Paul's absence. He and James Harden were playing some great basketball on the offensive end. This is a big blow to the Rockets, as Gordon is a big piece of their team as a 6th man/3rd option of the offense behind Paul and Harden. I'd expect Houston to be busy in trade discussions or the free agency market before too long.
The Spurs continue to win, as they've won 14 straight games, going from 4-4 to 18-4 in a hurry. The best part of all this? The Spurs are 14-0 with Kawhi Leonard this year. 14-0!!! Leonard is averaging 21.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.7 steals, and he's shooting 54.3% from the floor, 46.9% from three, and 96.4% from the free throw line. Kawhi has to be in serious MVP discussions with a return as triumphant as this.
The Hornets are 0-3 with Eric Bledsoe now, and while he's played fairly well these three games (13.3 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 4.0 APG), he hasn't shot the ball very well as the two guard in the starting lineup, and it's shown in losses to San Antonio, Toronto, and Miami. With a 4 game home stand coming up for the Hornets, let's see if Bledsoe and his new team can gel together and make a push for the playoffs.
Meanwhile in Memphis, the Grizzlies are 2-3 with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist as the new starting small forward, but he's played very well in a lockdown defender role for the Grizz. MKG just recently checked LeBron to 19 points, 10 boards, and 3 assists off 8-17 shooting inthe Grizzlies' 104 to 77 victory. He hasn't been very good on offense, but defensively, he's been just what Memphis has lacked at the three spot.
Re: #TakeNote - Utah Jazz 30-Team-Control MyLeague (2k18)
A similar thing happened for me as Gordan got hurt right as Paul was coming back from injury is out a long time. They don't have any depth at G so a trade makes sense
