In one of the feel-good moves of the year, the Raptors have brought back Vince Carter to finish out his career in the city where it started. The Raptors called Vince early this morning asking if he would be interested.

Last season Carter had this to say about a Raptors return “It’s supposed to happen I think. I can say that now. I’ve had a lot of people say it’s supposed to happen, so now I guess I have to believe it.”

Obviously, Carter wouldn't get many minutes out in Toronto but the allure of bringing his career full circle and being able to be apart of a contender was too much. His role on the team will be as a veteran shooter and play-maker. He’s still viewed as an on-court threat — even if only in the mind’s eye.

Carter will be doing an interview today once he arrives in Toronto and is expected to play against Lebron and the Lakers Sunday.

Los Angeles - The Raptors looked should've been called the heartbreakers last night, they mounted an eleven point comeback on the road to win the game in the final minute.

The team was led by its two stars Kyle Lowry and Kawi Leonard. Lowry, wasn't a star in the first half, however, as he put the Raptors in the hole with his possible NBA record seven turnovers in one half. Lowry made it up however as he scored six of the final seven points for the Raptors.

Jonas Valenciunas stood out with a very good overall game, JV snagged eight boards and scored nine points to go along with five assists, on defense he got two steals and two blocks. His presence was needed, his two blocks were stopping Lebron James from reigniting the Lakers early in the 4th. James, however, did exit the game at the five-minute mark after tweaking his ankle.

The story of the night though was Vince Carter's return in a Raptors uniform. Vince was given the start tonight and struggled early. Fans were let down as he missed all six of his first-half shots. In the third quarter, we saw Vinsanity or at least what's left in the tank of it. Carter dunked it twice, grabbed two assists and hit a three-pointer along with a block on Lonzo Ball.

For the Raptors the only negative could be the turnovers, the bench mob played great and VanVleet, in particular, played very good on defense grabbing three steals.

Vince back where it all started and inspiring the team to a win -- that's a good start to his final year. Nice job.

TORONTO - The Raptors came into tonight's showdown as the hottest team in the league, they stood at 17-2 giving them the best record in the league this early into the season. Their only losses came at the hands of the Boston Celtics who many expect to be the best team in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards have had a surprise start as well, controlling a top three seed early into the season.

The Wizards controlled the game from the tip getting onto an early run after a Lowry layup started off the game. The Wizards played an amazing offensive game against the Raptors. The Raptors have been allowing the third least amount of points in the NBA at 99 per game but the Wizards were able to drop 111.

Statistically, the Raptors beat the Wizards in almost every category the one they lacked? That was turnovers the Raptors had 22 whilst the Wizards had only 9.

For the Raptors, Kawhi Leonard struggled all night only having six points in the first three quarters. He wasn't able to find open shots most the night and was almost a non-factor on offense. The way he did factor in was his turnovers producing six.

Toronto- Greg Monroe left early in the third quarter of last nights loss to Denver. Initial X-Rays have indicated that Monroe has broken his left foot.

Monroe is expected to miss at least the next three months and may miss the rest of the season. Monroe had been a key bench figure for the 21-4 Raptors averaging 8 points in 14 minutes per game.

The Raptors could be looking at Al Jefferson a free agent big man with a very similar style to Monroe or possibly Joffrey Lauvergne, a stretch big with good rebounding ability.

They are some decent options at C in the FA pool that should be enough to get you by during the regular season or play one of your PF at C with the 2nd unit
