Re: Mayweather-Ortiz Sept 16th

Ortiz will have to catch Floyd with a punch similar to what Mosely hit him with to have a shot. He wont out box FM, he will have to land 1 shot and take him out otherwise, no dice for Ortiz. If it's close, it's because FM wants control the pace and outclass him in the later rounds.

And too much is being put on the 16 month lay off. It's a factor but a small one because FM stays in shape. He doesn't go up in weight and he stays training even when he's not fighting. I know that nothing substitutes for the fight experience, but because he stays in fighting shape, there is no intense training he has to do to make weight, starving himself and having to dehydrate himself for the fight.

I have family in LV and they've said that its very common to see FM running on a random Tuesday night or working out at his gym with NO fights scheduled. For all the big mouth talking he does, and yes, he is a big mouth, he stays ready and this Ortiz fight is easy work.

PBF's a surgeon. He'll be picking him apart late in the fight.

I think Ortiz will use his strength to bully PBF through the early rounds and will be able to steal a few rounds.

As a PBF fan, this fight worries me. Not that I think he'll lose but I think Sugar Shane popping him isn't forgotten by anybody.
Easy work bumrush. The 24/7 has people thinking Ortiz is better than he is. Berto is about 1/3 the fighter FM is and Berto dropped Ortiz but couldn't finish him. FM won't make that same mistake if put in the same position.

Ortiz will come out trying too hard to be aggressive and apply pressure and FM knows this and will weather the storm and put a beating on him as Ortiz will be relegated to looking for the one big shot to land that won't be there after the bully tactics fall by the wayside like they did when Gatti and Hatton fought FM.

This is a statement fight for FM that leads to more $$$ in a Pac Man fight. He knows what's riding on this fight and we all know that the one thing FM doesn't joke around with is an opportunity to get more money which is what the Pac fight is.

this is a very risky fight on floyd's part. i wish him to win convincingly. only thing i can say is if floyd gets knocked the **** down, officially, by ortiz for the first time in his career... it will be a very sorrowful day.

I wouldn't say Ortiz got totally punked. He was shoving his head into Floyd's face, but it's just Floyd being Floyd. Also, on 24/7 and in Intervews Floyd said he was tired of hearing about Ortiz's past, but every time we turn around, we hear about your money?
