Marshawn Lynch has broken the NFL record for rushing yards in a single season. He has broken his own coach's record of 2,106 rushing yards in a single season. After the win vs. the 49ers, Marshawn now has 2,213 rushing yards on 501 attempts. That is a 4.4 average per rush. He has also tied LaDainian Tomlinson's single season record of 28 rushing touchdowns. Marshawn is averaging 184.4 yards per game, which if he kept it up, would give him 2,950 yards rushing. Here is what coach Kirk Plum had to say about Marshawn's record:

"I am very proud of Marshawn. He has worked tirelessly all season with me, Eric Studesville, and our Senior Offensive Assisstant, Hall of Famer and 2-time NFL rushing leader, Leroy Kelly so that he can improve from his 1,115 yard and 7 touchdown rookie year. He told me before the season that he would break my record, and he did. I am so glad for Marshawn, because he deserves it. He is one of the main driving forces behind our 10-2 season so far. He will continue to improve, and I know that he is the best runningback in the NFL!"
