Happened to when Pitt played Miami a year or two ago, ACC refs still suck.

That one wasn't even close to being the same as this FSU one or even the Clemson one earlier in the year lol. That one at least had an angle of Knighton getting out of the end zone and forward progress being the ruling.

In both of these instances the QB willingingly went backwards into the end zone before getting tackled.

It was. I get the frustration with the Pitt one, but at least in that case the ball carrier was actively coming out of the end zone and not voluntarily retreating into it. Zero excuses for the refs in the one today.
