It would be weird, but it would open up both the St. Louis and Kansas City markets which would be huge.

Yeah the Mizzou talk is sketchy. I can't imagine the SEC taking them on without going through a list of candidates on the east coast first. No offense to any Mizzou fans, but they would be pretty far down on the list of schools that make sense for an additional SEC school.

Looks like the Big 12 (10) commish will be addressing this at 5 today. Sure the usual PR speak of devotion, committed institutions, etc. will be spoken.

What did he say, if anything?

The fact of the matter is...if the SEC offers TX A&M, Oklahoma, OK State, and say Missouri...they will all go. The SEC gives out fair shares to everyone and does not give an Alabama extra perks over say an Ole Miss in revenue, etc.

The Texas Longhorns Conference seems fishy on that front if you ask me, as far as being fair to all.

It's easier for the SEC to give out equal shares of the revenue because it does not have a single team that generates a disproportionate amount of the cash. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'd guess that Florida, Alabama, Auburn, etc. generate a comparable amount of money.

Texas, on the other hand, generates WAY more money than any other Big 12 team. Not even close. So it's understandable they don't want to just hand over a portion of that to Iowa State, Baylor, etc. The other Big 12 schools put up with the inequitable distribution of revenues because without Texas on board, there's no way they could make as much.

Tulane? LOL come on. They have been gone from the conference for 45 years and have not bettered themselves since leaving, that's for sure.

At least GA Tech has won a national title in the ACC and has won some since they left.
