Honestly guys... unless they put a nice clamp on the motherboard and can actualy have the system run a lot cooler, then what says the new Falcons are going to fix the issue? It's hard to go on what little information they've really given us.

Something else to think about. JUST BECASUE they relase the Falcons doesn't mean you'll get one. You'll still over overstock of the old systems. Who knows how long those will last.


I'm really happy that I can play my PS3 for hours and it remains cool and the disc doesn't feel like it's been "Baked like a cookie." (Remember that dumb joke I made CandymanGT?)



Countryboy I am on my 3rd 360. This last time it died I just looked at it like... "whatever." If this one dies I won't be going to get a new one for a while. It sucks to because I perfer the 360 controller. It fits right.
I like XBox Live Marketplace a lot. Those Arcade Games are cool.


Thankfully the PS3 will have some good stuff out this fall.
It will be interesting to see if the PS3 will remain the system that gets the sloppy seconds ports (much like the XBox 1 got) and only have a small slew of original IPs for the system or developers that will take time to make use of the systems abiliites.


What I'm going to do is go and RENT NCAA on the PS3 and let a few of you guys that are on the fence know if it's really THAT big of an issue framerate wise. NBA 2k8 and NHL2k8 ran just fine on the PS3 (I rented to see if there was any differences). I feel that most companies are spending a smaller budget on the PS3 until it reaches a bigger sales number. That they'll keep the 360 as the lead Sku for at least this year. Next year, who knows.


It's really crappy that we have to be talking about this subject.

After playing the PS3 version and the 360 demo, the framerate is clearly noticeable. I still enjoy playing the PS3 and it looks good but the 360 version definately looks better.

The reliability of the 360, the Show and the free roster exchanges are the biggest reasons I got a PS3 over a 360 and I knew about the 30 fps when I bought it. I only expect the 30 vs. 60 fps to be a one year thing so its not a big deal.

Right now I'm pissed since I rented NCAA for a week to make sure I liked it. I did and bought the game online saving $24. However, the game has yet to arrive and I've gone two whole days without NCAA! If I don't get it today I'm going to go crazy this weekend unless I can get my hands on a rare rental copy again (BB only had one copy and I was the first to rent it ticking off two other people ).

Edit: Wife checked and its not in the mail. Looks like I will have to scramble to rent the thing. If I wasn't so cheap I would have just bought the thing already.

I took my 360 back and as of right now, I just got my money back minus the Microsoft points and Xbox live subscription. So is essence for me to enjoy the system for about 2 weeks it set me back $70 bucks. :

Microsoft was the first one out of the gate, but they are going to end up last if they don't soon solve this issue.

Have you contacted MS to see if you can get the XBL back. That's ridiculous that you should be stuck eating the loss.

Sorry to hear about it. Hopefully once Sony gets their act together you won't even have to look at the 360.

Can't you just buy the game for full price then return the one you get in the mail for your money back? unless you're buying an open game you'll be all set.
