Right so I dont think the complaining from the producers will do any good.

this is all part of market correction. I think we will start to see a lot less shine on games. they cost of producing a game is just getting ridiculous

Amazing we pay $64.11 or more pure game, not including collector's editions.

Trade back in and get around 13 to 22 bucks and they go back and resale for 5 to 8 bucks cheaper than a new copy! And then encourages you to buy a $20 Gamestop card that barely saves you the tax per title you buy.

When this process is rinsed and repeated, all the developers are getting cut out of the profits and GS milks it all. Now Blockbuster gamecrazy, movie trading company and Entertainmart are all in on it.

At least Entertainmart gives you straight up cash instead of credit.
But remember they don't turn over all the used games they buy right away. Some may eventually sell later on for less than the trade-in value or not at all.

I'm not a big fan of Gamestop, but with good timing and trading with promotions you can do OK there. For example in March they gave $40 for trading Madden 10 towards Madden 11. It's also a good place to pick up older titles cheap. Especially during the buy 2 get 1 sales they run.

Couldn't they tie a purchase to your XBL tag or actual name, so in the future you could re-download a game that you deleted in the past but want to play again and have the rights to since you purchased it?

Yeah.. run on sentence.. w/e

THQ: We'll CRUSH Pre-owned Threat

Activision Declares War On Pre-owned

Definitely a topic that needs to be touched on more seeing that a good amount of people here are pre-owned gamers like myself. I love video games but can't see myself buying full price like these companies want me to. I love to buy the great titles at full price or when they reduce in price. I also love to buy DLC. I do hate how the crappy games are given to the consumer on a pedestal just as the AAA titles are. Maybe I'm just tired, but isn't this a way of reducing the market and eventually turning away the consumers in times such as these? Has to be a more logical way for the rich man and poor man to coexist in gaming.

I can see your point but video game companys dont make any money off of used game sales and I understand why they do that.

Yeah, exactly...I don't like what they're doing, but I can't blame them either...

This is the way Steam works on the PC. Games are tied to your account and you can delete and download them as many times as you want. You can even have them installed on multiple pc's at the same time. Of course you can't play them at the same time, but it's still nice to be able to.

I refuse to buy used games. I believe in supporting the people who made the game and I support any measure companies use to eliminate used game sales.

The only used games I'd buy are games I couldn't buy new, like a gamecube game or something along those lines.
