How much is Kinect if you have the 360 Slim, and how much is it, if you have the regular 360? Is there even a difference?

Re: IGN: Kinect seems like the lame donkey in the race.

Wasn't there a rumor that a bundle would be hitting shelves this holiday season? I might need a new 360 soon because this one is kicking the bucket. I can't see myself buying a Kinect if it's not included. I really see this barely getting out of the gate for real. This would have been wonderful if it was available for the 360 when it initially came out. I just don't see how they think people will jump on this a million strong. It's too much and it's an add-on. Add-on's NEVER WORK!! If there is a successful add-on, please someone point me in that direction.......

I guess it depends on what you consider an add-on. The Eye camera that Move uses has been around forever now, so that's an add-on that has worked out fairly well. Also, The Wii Motion Plus could be considered an add-on, and that has been fine.

I agree with you that the majority of the time these things fail, but personally I view these less as add-ons, and more as extensions or options. I don't think either will be a huge success, but I also don't see either of them failing.

It's definitely selling like hot cakes... I believe IGN was referring to how well the actual motion tech itself worked, not how well it would sell.

Re: IGN: Kinect seems like the lame donkey in the race.

I think the motion worked pretty darn good. As far as lighting issues we only have 1 60w overhead light and one window in our room and it works great. We did need to clear about 8-10 feet to get optimal settings for multiplayer, but luckily we had the room. I think for me anyways there will be more uses for the MOVE I'll get into, over the Kinect. In any case we love it.
