Sure in the US.
In Canada we only get 1400 points for $20. That's like 80 points = 92 cents. (I don't know the exact number and I'm not going to figure it out)

I liked the points for 1 reason. Occasionally you would be able to buy point cards on sale. Sometimes the 1600 point cards would drop from $20 to $15. You're never going to be able to do that with real money.

That was the bonus to them. I think the last time I bought a bunch of points it was because of a sale like that.

My Question

Will you be able to add money by buying a card like you can for the Playstation network? I'm not using my debit/credit card for XBOX Live ever again.

Re: Report: XBOX switching to real money

Nothing to this effect has been posted in this thread yet? http://www.tgdaily.com/games-and-ent...remain-on-xbox

Cliff Notes: It's only being phased out for Windows 8 and will continue (for now) on 360. Found several articles about this, all saying pretty much the same thing.

It's a mistake on Microsoft's part. People are more willing to spend imaginary things like "points" than they are real dollars.

And you all have a marginally stronger currency (these days) than us. What a joke.
