Well, they're revealing at E3. Hoping for the NFL license too.

Hope they have a license. I don't know if I could play a pro football game, no matter how good the gameplay, without real teams.

If APF 2K8 had more robust career mode, or something more creative, I could have played it for years. The chess match of trying to choose the right team/players was really fun, but the only sustainable way to make it fun was to manually run a league with house rules and make it last year after year.

However, not having a license makes it harder, but not impossible. I'm still dreaming we see a true sports RPG, not the junk that is "Superstar" or "Be a Pro" mode. What if we had the choice to spend our money on philanthropy vs hookers and booze? And there are benefits/drawbacks to all your choices?

Now I'm brainstorming too much

Looks like they are releasing something the day after their E3 presentation.

Just from experience..
Growing up the license was a non issue as most never had it.
The most fun FB games in my history had no NFL license.
Games like FPSFB were deeper than anything we have now and they started with no NFL.
Heck even the games I recently talked about for AMIGA were a blast as once again there was some depth and most importantly.. game was fun.

The NFL license does make the game more "I know these guys" but if the game is deep and engaging the NFL license is just icing but not the whole cake for me.

Here's hoping we get more and more choices..

I'm just glad we'll finally be getting some Gears of War stuff.

Finally, a reason to use the Xbox.

Fingers crossed it's a collection and not just the first one.
