Will there be any other opportunities for us working people to preorder a PS5?

Honestly I think I might just go for the PS5 Digital bundle and maybe a Series X bundle too.

It includes most things I'd end up buying anyways and it completely bypasses the bots/scalpers because they just want the consoles themselves.

Just hope they're in stock on black friday.

I tried to preorder back when they first came out in September, and despite the surprise I think I almost succeeded with Best Buy. Tried for an hour but couldn't get check-out to complete. Then life moved on and I basically forgot about it. Tried Wal-Mart yesterday to no avail.

At this point I'm fine waiting until next year when, hopefully, supply has improved. There's not really any games I want at launch, and I'd end up using it to play PS4 games instead which is a tad silly. I do wish Sony hadn't dropped a surprise on everyone two months ago and actually stuck to their word when they said "tomorrow."

I know FOMO drives a lot of this and I'm sure companies prey on human psychology to some extent, but once you get one - even if it's not for a few months - it won't matter.

Remember when we registered for the email from playstation to have the chance to preorder. Then the whole process completely disregarded loyal customers and it was chaos with all the advantage to bots/scalpers.

I wonder how many long time customers lost out because of this horrible preordering system?

Man, I’m alright with my Series X but damn I wish I had a PS5...sucks not being able to get a pre order.

I’ve resigned myself to not being able to get one for a few months due to demand, scalpers, bots, etc.

Sucks. I’d sell my Series X and extra controller in a second if I knew I could get a PS5 lol.
