Now that you've mentioned it, I will definitely try it once vs the CPU on Legend. Because on Legend, the cpu cheesed me more than once. This will be payback.
I would never do that online though.

I'm after those 2 you just got: Bench & Ryan. That won't be cheap.
What a bench! and what a starting 5.

Have you closed any games yet with Eckersley?
Oklahoma Thunderbirds, has a good ring to it.
Thanks! I used the thunders colors, it came out looking like the mets kind of lol. I would post a pic of the uniforms but I don't know how.

Yah I try to close every game with him, and use Rosenthal as my SU. He may not have a great pitch selection but he is accurate and it's pretty easy to get his timing down. Rosenthal destroys.

Can't wait to try out Bench I've been wanting him, Ozzie, Ryan, and Williams since day 1. Too bad Oz hasn't worked out so well with me. Trying to get Williams now, will probably get him tonight or tomorrow. Marte is a beast though.

If they release another set of legends I really hope to get Stan the man and The Mick.

hell yeah Rosenthal is a beast. I forgot I've been using him in my franchise, he's been my closer for 5 seasons. I might go after him on the market. Rosenthal-Eckersley, that's a heck of a 1-2 punch.
Agreeed, Rosenthal is extremely accurate and easy to master.

Oh man if Mantle comes out, it's going to be mayhem. Have they even announced that they plan to release more legends?
That would take this to a new level.

Regarding Ted Williams: He lives up to the hype, in case you were wondering. After a cold start with my team, he's had 2 walkoffs in the last 3 games. Just brilliant. The problem is when you pitch against him heh.

My bad, meant to say Eck doesn't have great pitch selection I like Rosenthals just fine. Both are easy to get their timing down and an excellent 1-2 combo.

Yah I still haven't been able to get Williams yet but I'm excited to. Hopefully this weekend I will. I've burned through all my profits and I'm tired of spending so much time on the market but I'm only missing pedroia, Ortiz and Hanley. So I know I'll spend another 8 hours on there flipping cards until I get enough stubbs. Shouldn't have spent that 7,500 on the new packs.

Beltre pinch hitting has been oh so clutch for me he's had two walk offs homers so far in 3 appearances and got a hit in his other appearance.

I would hope they will release new legends it would seem eventually everyone will have basically the same team if they don't but I have no idea if they will or not, just a dream scenario of mine.

Re: Diamond Dynasty - What's your lineup?

I have an abundance of the same player at ss: Evereth, alcides, and Dee Gordon. I mostly play dee because of his speed.

1. Dee Gordon, SS
2. Adam Eaton, CF
3. Robinson Cano, 2B
4. Jose abreu, 1B
5. Joe Mauer, C
6. Chris Carter, LF
7. Brandon moss, RF
8. Martin Prado, 3N
9. Pitcher

I have Hosmer, My two SS's, Salvador Perez and Rusney Castillo on my bench. Not sure how smart it is to have both those SS's but they're speedy and I don't have a ton of great hitters. I wanna figure out how to play Hosmer but no dh makes it difficult plus he has no second position. Any tips?

My pitchers are homer Bailey (have yet to use him), Cashner(not as good as I hoped), Kevin Gausman (actually decent), Travis wood (decent, just threw a shutout with him) and I can't for the life of me remember my fifth starter.

My pullpen I have Furbush who is amazing, balfour (suck with him), Tommy Hunter (decent), and Grilli and Huston street. Street was my closer but I'm actually better with grilli.

I pulled Hanley yesterday but immediately put him on the auction block. I want him but his going price is surprisingly decent. Put him up for 17k yesterday but still waiting. I might cave and keep him. Idk anybody use him and like him? Carter is staying in my lineup same with Eaton but I'm not good with moss. It's either homer or k. I hit many bombs with Carter and I rake with Eaton. I'd sell homer or cash but they're going price is really low. Not worth it.

Is Chapman any good? I'm looking for a closer. Both Kimbrel and Chapman seem to have one pitch, so I'm wondering if I can save stubs and just grab Chapman.

I like him, I like Rosenthal better but that's because I feel like I am more accurate with him and his timing is easier for me, plus he's a Cardinal so there is a bit of bias. Chapmans heat is ridiculous, if you're looking to complete a collection I'd go with Chapman because of Bench. I would recommend him. I haven't used Kimbrel so I can't make a comparison. Hope that helps.

Re: Diamond Dynasty - What's your lineup?

Someone asked me to update them on David Price (can't remember who sorry)
FYI, I got David Price out of a Pitcher pack, out of the blue.

Initially the cpu would never pick him out of my rotation, so I was looking forward to playing him.
Since, I've had 3 starts with him. In one word: not good at all lol.
It was to the point I was praying the cpu wouldn't pick him.

I got manhandled all 3 times in the very 1st inning (2 were online, 1 was against the cpu on HOF).
Seems hitters have no problem seeing his fastball and offspeed pitches. They lit him up pretty good.
And I have no such issues with my other starters.
I also made perfect pitches a good 80% of the time. And try to adapt my strategy (ie: pitch away more, or pitch inside etc..)
One guy hit 3 HR against him (with the same player) before I pulled him.

I'll say one good thing about Price: It's very easy to pitch with him, his control is great. Also his pitching animation is pleasant (unlike kershaw ) and easy on the eyes. But that's about it.

So yeah, he's gone (sold).

Also getting rid of Miggy (which I pulled from a pack on day 1), great player in real life, but just not working out for me. For no apparent reason either (his BAA is a horrible .203 after 23 games). The funny thing is I have 80+ overall players that outhit him.
I think it has a lot to do on how people pitch Miggy (including the cpu).

Selling price + miggy means a lot of stubs to put elsewhere, so that's a bonus. The only downside is I can't finish the Tigers collection (or they would be locked-in)

- end mini-review/rant -
