Jack McDowell also pitched a 6 inning shutout in that game. McDowell continues to beast for me online against other users. Just don't deploy him against the CPU. He got crushed when I played the CPU Phillies.

I'm looking for some advice. I want to do another collection. I have around ten k in spare stubs. I don't know which one to do. I have Floyd bichette and Finley so no outfielders. I'm good with Cano so no Carew but otherwise I'm lost. I have a lot of white Sox players and my pitchers suck so is McDowell worth it? Haven't heard much about him. Can I afford neikro if I have no good braves players? Basically looking for suggestions on pitching and non outfielders. Thanks.

One of those losses was a real bad one against the CPU where he gave up 6 runs in 5 innings. Other than that, he usually doesn't give up any more than 2 or 3 runs for me against human opponents. Definitely get McDowell if you're struggling to find starting pitchers since the White Sox collection is so cheap to complete. His curveball and splitter have nice breaks, but his fastball is only 94 MPH, so you have to use it sparingly.

Until people figure out that throwing him up and in fastballs righty vs righty is near unhittable. Even if you catch up to it, his cold zones won't allow a hit.

Plus inside fastballs result in way too many broken bats in this game. Edgar alone was breaking at least one or two bats per game for me before I took him out of his lineup. People just throw high inside fastballs to his cold zones every time and there's nothing you can do about it except hope that you get walked.
