Re: Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens' Nest
Week 6 Preview
Volume 1, Issue 13

Cleveland Browns (1-3) @ Baltimore Ravens (3-1)

Cleveland Browns
Trent Dilfer: 895 yards, 7 TD, 3 INT
Reuben Droughns: 109 carries, 410 yards, TD
Braylon Edwards: 20 receptions, 250 yards, 4 TD
Kevin Hardy: 37 tackles, 3 sacks

Ravens' Keys to the Game

1. Andra Davis can pile up 20 tackles in a game. Keep him away from the HB.

2. I like Jamal Lewis' chances against their D-line. Let's play some smash mouth football.

3. Our offensive line should overwhelm their defensive line. We're much more talented than thay are and that should allow us to establish the run.

Week 6 AFC North Matchups

Jaguars (4-1) @ Steelers (1-3)- The Steelers are off to a sluggish start, and things get worse as they face the Jags, one of the NFL's hottest teams.

Bengals (3-2) @ Titans (2-3)- The Bengals are trying to keep up with Baltimore, despite their terrible defense.

Monday Night Football

Rams (2-3) @ Colts (3-2)- Defenses take the night off, as fireworks are expected between two of football's most explosive offenses.

Game of the Week

Giants (3-1) @ Cowboys (3-2)- Two surprise teams in the NFC East square off deep in the heart of Texas.

Ravens' defense keeps Browns out of endzone in 23-3 win

BALTIMORE, MD- THAT is a defensive gem.

The Ravens' defense got only their second interception of the season, recovered their first fumble, sacked former teammate Trent Dilfer four times, and didn't let Cleveland cross the goalline (despite the Browns driving inside the five twice), as the Ravens prevailed, 23-3.

Kyle Boller was iffy, 14-32 passing for 216 yards with two scores and two picks. Jamal Lewis had his first sub-100 game, garnering 93 yards on 21 carries. Koren Robinson, Derrick Mason and Mark Clayton all had four catches apiece, Robinson gainin 82 yards, Mason 64 and Clayton 54. Robinson caught his first TD as a Raven, and Clayton caught his pro professional touchdown period.

Dilfer was 21-35 passing for the Browns for 247 yards with an INT. The Browns had NO running game. Braylon Edwards and Antonio Bryant each caught 6 balls, Edwards with 71 yards and Bryant with 73.

Ray Lewis continued to be his usual tackle-machine self, with 14 stops. Chris McAlister, Ed Reed, Tommy Polley and Samari Rolle each had six stops. Polley, Deion Sanders, Dale Carter and Terrell Suggs each had a sack. Rolle had his second INT of the season.

Kevin Hardy had 7 tackles to lead Cleveland. Former Raven Gary Baxter had 5 tackles and an interception. SS Michael Jameson and OLB Chaun Thompson each had four tackles, one of Thompson's being a sack.

The Ravens hit the road for the next two weeks, the first game coming in Chicago against the defensively stingy Bears.

Re: Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens' Nest
Week 7 Preview
Volume 1, Issue 15

Baltimore Ravens (4-1) @ Chicago Bears (0-5)

Chicago Bears
Rex Grossman: 870 yards, 5 TD, 7 INT
Cedric Benson: 150 carries, 562 yards, 2 TD
Muhsin Muhammad: 29 receptions, 320 yards, 2 TD
Mike Brown: 41 tackles, INT
Brian Urlacher: 29 tackles, 2 sacks, INT

Ravens' Keys to the Game

1. Lets let our "big uglies" wear down their defensive line. We could run all day if that happens.

2. Brian Urlacher will be all over the place. We will have trouble running up the middle.

3. One of the most dangerous guys we'll face on defense today is Mike Brown. He is great in coverage and can intimidate our receivers.

Key Matchups
1. Jamal Lewis vs. Brian Urlacher
2. Ray Lewis vs. Cedric Benson (Don't worry, Ced....THE PAIN IS ONLY TEMPORARY.)

Week 7 AFC North Matchups

Steelers (2-3) @ Bengals (4-2)- The Steelers look to ride the momentum from their win over Jacksonville to get back in the AFC North race.

Lions (2-3) @ Browns (1-4)- Perennial doormats are trying to turn things around.

Monday Night Football

Jets (5-1) @ Falcons (3-3)- The Falcons are struggling at 3-3, but Vick is still healthy, so they are always a threat to win.

Game of the Week

Packers (5-0) @ Vikings (4-1)- The Packers are shocking everyone at 5-0, and they are trying to retain their division title from everyone's favorite, the 4-1 Vikings.

Re: Baltimore Ravens

Do you mind showing me stats from a few players from the Giants?

Eli Manning, Jeremy Shockey, Plaxico Burress, and the best two defensive players statistically

Ravens' defensive ballhawks ambush Bears with 3 TDs

CHICAGO, IL- The Ravens' defense was long overdue for a turnover-fest.

The Ravens' secondary preyed on Rex Grossman all day, picking him off SIX times, returning THREE of those six for touchdowns as the Ravens crushed the Bears in Chicago, 45-10.

Kyle Boller was still shaky, going 11-21 for 160 yards for 2 TDs, but also 2 INTs. Jamal Lewis dominated on the ground, rumbling for 178 yards and a TD on 30 carries. MArk Clayton led the Ravens in receiving with five catches for 53 yards.

The six interceptions combined with a 36% completion percentage (15-41) gave Grossman a 7.1 QB rating. Cedric Benson was held to only 49 yards rushing, although he did score a TD. Muhsin Muhammad caught 6 passes for 68 yards.

Ray Lewis had 7 tackles for Baltimore before leaving in the 3rd quarter with hip bursitis (he will not miss any additional time). Will Demps had 5 tackles, and picked off two passes. Samari Rolle also had 2 INTs, and Ed Reed and Chris McAlister each had one. McAlister, Reed, and Rolle all scored on defensive TDs. The Ravens also had 5 sacks: 2 by Tommy Polley, and one each by Terrell Suggs, Kelly Gregg and Deion Sanders.

Brian Urlacher led the Bears with 9 tackles, followed by 8 from Safety Mike Green. Jerry Azumah had 6 tackles and an interception. Nathan Vasher had the Bears' other INT.

The Ravens' first Monday Night appearence of the season is next week at Heinz Field against archrival Pittsburgh.
