Declining a measly $600 for being in a video game is not bad advice. He’s going to make way more money in other endorsements once he finally hits the field lol.

Unless you mean staying at Texas vs transferring to a school where he’ll play. In which case I 100% agree.

What someone does with a rating doesn't affect NIL bc a rating is something EA came up with, it's their OPINION. So why can't users have an OPINION. Name, height, high school etc....theae are all factual things.
The large masses don’t care about player ratings though. Most players that play the game just want to be their favorite school and win national championships. The small amount of hardcore players are the ones that will care about editing ratings.

Sam Keller filed his lawsuit against Electronic Arts in 2009, and The Ninth Circuit Court issued their ruling deciding the case in Keller's favor in 2013. The lawsuit by itself didn't have any legal force until the court ruled in Keller's favor.

The game wasn't released last year because it wasn't ready. I am sure this extra full year of development is going to be worth it.

I don't think you understood me by saying players. I mean actual college football players. Many of them won't be happy with their ratings, and they may feel it's a bad representation of themselves. They would clearly want to change it.

If a WR had a game in real life where he had 15 catches, 205yds and in the game he's a 67 overall, and it's LOCKED, nothing he can do to make himself a reflection of his real life skills. Who wants to keep playing?

And the masses will sure enough be frustrated with the same thing. Not to mention teams who will be overrated vs their real life performance
