So Who Here is Playing NCAA 06 or Another Last-Gen NCAA?

I know I am. I was few up with NCAA 08 on the 360, so I went back to NCAA 06 about a month ago and I am loving it. It's really nice to have the atmosphere and everything else that goes along with it. I don't have 10 turnovers every game. Most games seem fair, unlike NCAA 08, where turnovers and pick-sixes always decided the game.

I went back to NCAA 07 for about a week, but the momentum meter destroys that game and creates way too many blowouts for my liking.

NCAA 06 doesn't have as many gimmicks. I love the home field advantage in it. It's really tough to go into Death Valley and win as I just recently found out. The only gimmick I do not particularly care for is the impact players, but it's no big deal. It's kind of cool in a way, actually.

I am using Bill's Heisman sliders with one modification:

Slider..(Offense)................Human............ ..CPU
QB Accuracy.........................0................ ....0
Pass Blocking........................30................ ..30
WR Catching........................99................ ..90
RB Ability............................99............. .....70
Run Blocking........................99................ ..40

Slider..(Defense)..............Human.............. CPU
Awareness..........................80............. ....80
Knockdowns........................99.............. ...99
Interceptions.......................99............ .....99
Break Block.........................80.................. 80
Tackling..............................99.......... .......99

Slider..(SpecTeam).........Human..............CPU
FG Length............................50.............. .50
FG Accuracy.........................99............... 0
Punt Length..........................40...............4 0
Punt Accuracy......................99................80
Kickoff Length.......................40................40

They are working well for me so far.

Anyways, who has gone back to last-gen to have fun?

It makes me mad I mispelled the title and it won't let me change it!!!

I still enjoy 2004. Im like in my 25th season, now with the Georgia Bulldogs. Started at Texas, a fling with Ohio St., back to Texas, now Georgia. After every season, I say Im gonna retire the old girl, but then I play with recruiting and get a 5 star QB, HB, WR or DB and I gotta see how he pans out. Then, another season begins...

NCAA08 on the Xbox. Got some good sliders and adopted a "no sprint" sule that does away w/ the purtsuit problem. Even w/ the pursuit problem I wasn't mad about switching back to the last gen version.

I still ponder trying NCAA 2004. I never bought the game, but I hear it is really good. I may have to spend the $1 it costs for the game sometime to try it out.

As a Big East fan, the Big East will be all messed up, but that is okay by me really.

NCAA '04 was my favorite version on last gen. I wish I had a way to play it.

I went back and played a game of NCAA 2004, and although I had much fun at the time....it IS dated, and that's a hard thing to ignore. Plus, this version had it's own issues (Robo-comeback ring a bell with anyone?). BUT, that said, I probably did have more fun with this version than any other version since I started in 2003 (Harrington cover). I think this year's version has potential with the right slider combos, but I'm still working on those in my 3rd season, and I'm losing hope (too much momentum meter). Anyway, yes I'm on PS2 and not going anywhere anytime soon.

I picked up 2004 for PS2 the other day and attempt to play through the slow down in NCAA 06 BC on 360. 2004 is incredibly fun head to head, but some things are blatantly missing. 2006 is probably the best combination of graphics and gameplay last gen for me, and with all the anti aliasing and higher resolution that the 360 offers when playing stuff BC, it gets rid of a lot of jaggies and cleans up well. If they fixed that slowdown, I wouldn't even play 08 current gen.

I still play 06 NCAA and Madden they are still my favorites and the speed of the game is way better than next gen, imo.
