I'd say one division would have:

OK State, TX, TX Tech, OK ST, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado. East Division.

The other:

USC, UCLA, Stanford, Cal, Oregon, Oregon ST, Washington and Washington State. West Division.

You can't change the name of the conference though, so it will stay the Pac 12, which is silly to me, but just look at the Big XII(-2) and the Big Ten(+2) lol it does happen in real life.

It's tough to gage conference realignments in 2018... Eastern Michigan or any non-AQ could easily become the next Boise St/TCU/USF

I guess I didn't explain it well. I'm not really concerned with divisions right now. I'm trying to figure out where to make other confrence changes. If the Pac-16 happened, then the B1G TEN and the SEC would likely want to expand to 16 too. What teams should I give them? What should I do with the Big 12? In a dream scenario, I would send the Big 12 teams to the MWC or the Big East and delete the Big 12 but you can't do that.

OK, well I'll just throw out some suggestions for you.

Big Ten: Maybe add, Notre Dame, Missouri(gives Nebraska an old rival from the Big XII), Pittsburgh(Gives Penn State an instate rival), and then maybe throw a bone to West Virginia as your 16th team. Or maybe diss Missouri and add VA Tech to go along with W. Virginia.

SEC: I'd raid the ACC. Give me FSU, Miami, Clemson and GA Tech. Those make the most sense to me although if you wanna throw in VA Tech in place of one of the four I suggested I'd get that.

The Big XII would have 5-6 remaining teams depending on whether or not you sent Missouri to the Big Ten or SEC(if you wanted). So, you could send the rest to the Big East to give it 12 teams or some to the Mountain West, some to Big East, some to ACC...there are a lot of fun ways you can do it. Or you can keep them in the Big XII(what's left of it) and try to raid C-USA teams like Houston, Tulsa, Rice, SMU, etc, to fill it back up.

It's your custom conference so make it how you prefer and as you can see you can do it a lot of fun ways.

Did we get confirmation that we'd be able to make these type of changes mid dynasty?

Re: Realistic Future Conference Re-Alignments?

The biggest problem with making super conferences is the fact that a conference must have at least 4 teams. The best solution would be to dissolve a conference, but you can't do that. There are 120 teams in 11 conferences (not including the independents). Since you must leave 1 as an IND, that leaves 119 teams to spread around 11 conferences. That's an average of 10.8 teams per conference with the current low # being 8 (Big East, pre-TCU). If you shove 16 teams each into 4 conferences, you're left with 55 teams to spread amongst 7 conferences (7.8 average). Then what do you do? Do you make a bunch of smallish conferences with 6 having 8 teams and 1 with 7? Or do you make as many with 10 or 12 teams as you can with a few conferences with only 4 teams (I personally think that a 4 team conference would suck royally).
