For years I was wondering what happened to Miss Cleo. I wanted to pick up a phone and call her for my free reading. Now I know she was just busy breeding defensive backs.

LOL! That's a good one..Have not adjusted any sliders like Matt10 and others have suggested yet but I'm hoping they will help with the issues in the passing game. The recovery speed of the secondary and LB's is absolutely rediculous. The only thing that helps with passing (just a tad) is using the pump fake. This can help in getting those Cleo jrs. out of position at times. Unfortunately on AA your line wont hold up long enough for u to do a pump fake and a pass attempt.

Re: Psychic Pass Coverage (Video) - Incorporating a Read-and-React Defense

I am so glad I found this thread! I have been so frustrated the last 3 games I played! Okay, I am the OC at Kent, but Akron gave me fits today. I went 11 of 26 for 110 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs. Basically if I tried to throw anything except a pass to the flat it was knocked down or even worse, the receiver let it hit him in the face and didnt even try to catch it.

I know I can switch to the receiver...but hey, I am 47 with some hands that dont always work so well so the less I have to try to move the sticks the better for me.

I am going to try to lower the prc and the jumping of the lbs and see if that helps.

How many times have you guys read man coverage, no safety over the top, and inside position by your receiver on a post route, only to see the DB magically end up inside of your receiver once you let the ball go
Yea I agree. Ive played NCAA since PS1 and Ive watched/been a HUGE fan of football in general my whole life. I understand everything about it lol I hate that the CPU ALWAYS knows what your running. You could have 0 rushing attempts and then lets say its 3rd qtr 3rd & 8 you run shotgun 1 back ( like you have all game) HB Draw and wouldnt you know it they just happen to blitz? ( ESPN ) Cmon Man! lol It gets really frustrating. Id like to think 1 of my advantages over human opponents is my knowledge of the game and situations, but with the CPU.... they always know what your doing. The only benefits I take out of this type of Physic Cpu is to run w.e type of plays that beat you ( against humans) on the CPU and see how they stop it... There will never be a game that satisfies everyone. Thats true with everything in every aspect of life. This is a great game and the problems I speak of have been evident for a W H I L E now so Im not trippin

I'm having a lot of trouble passing in general right now. Part of it is that my qb isn't that good (garrett gilbert) but I can't really find receivers or get them the ball. I appreciate the challenge, it's not that, but I just can't get passing going at all. It was easier for me on the demo strangely enough
Yeah I'd put INT at about 30 or 35 and see what you think after a few games. There's where I put mine and I can't say I've seen that animation more than once.

Re: Psychic Pass Coverage (Video) - Incorporating a Read-and-React Defense

I've all but given up on the RTG mode. First let me say that I absolutely love this game. It really hasn't left my PS3 since release day. That said, I've contemplated throwing my PS3 out the window a few times while playing RTG (QB). Compounding the problem of the psychic defenders is the problem of NO pass interference being called. I don't know how many times I've seen a WR all-out impeded in the middle of his route, being (essentially) shoved out of the route by a charging D-back, or not fighting for the pass. When a WR is wide open on a straight route, there's no way a safety should be able to flash 20 yards AND interfere with a receiver who should be hit in stride with a pass.

Another side problem with RTG...I know this thread is about defenses, so I'll keep it short, is the playcalling. A dive play on 3rd and 9 from your own 40 yard line? An empty backfield all-out from the shotgun on 1st and goal?

For what it's worth, the video in the original post was played with pass coverage sliders at 10 and the defense was Louisiana Lafayette.

I played about 6 dynasty games using Matt10's sliders as a base. I did a lil' tweaking to tailor it to me. I really liked what I had. I recommend checking out his sliders.
