Can anyone explain how on Earth this happened? (Top 25)

If it was conference prestige alone, then I wouldn't have seen independent Michigan State (D prestige) go to the title game over an undefeated SEC team in my 1937 setup. I would love to reverse engineer that monstrosity, but I don't think it is worth it just to see what silly little things they tried.

Really though... the rankings have been off like that every year.. this year though seems a little bit worse though then normal.

It's like that because computers are just as bad as humans at ranking teams.

No, if we had the actual computers, we'd be seeing things we'd expect. This is the EA formula... and god knows what goes into it. If I had the time and patience, I'd calculate the Colley Matrix and compare it to what it says the computers are in the game's BCS. It will always be 99 kinds of messed up since it is using a computer program to simulate human opinion.

I agree - simmed week 7 and Oklahoma won 55-7 and now they have been leap frogged by Boise State?

And the MWC has a lower prestige than the Big 12, so then how much impact can conference prestige have?

There are many examples like this EA had changed something with the way BCS works and it sucks.
