Can anyone explain how on Earth this happened? (Top 25)

OK so here is how the top 5 stands right now at the start of week 7

#1 Alabama 5-0
Last Week 2

#2 Ohio State 5-0
Last Week 4

#3 Oklahoma 5-0
Last Week 1

#4 Oklahoma State 5-0
Last Week 3

#5 Boise State 4-0
Last Week 5


So Bama has played Kent, UK, PSU, Ark and beat NT last game played 35-10 who was 0-4

Ohio State has played Zips, Tol, Mia, FCS W, #18 MSU who they beat 38-35 in their last game played who was 4-2

Oklahoma has played CU, Tulsa, #11 FSU, #17 Miz and last game played was Ball wh they beat 41-3 who is 2-3

Oklahoma State has played ULL, Ariz, Tulsa, TAMU, and last game played was #16 Nebraska who they beat 46-21 and their record is 3-2



So how on EARTH did Alabama AND Ohio State leap frog over Oklahoma? Not to mention how did Ohio State move up two spots and especially over Oklahoma?

Because Conference Prestige has too much weight when it comes to ratings.

This game's style of ranking is funny. I played my first season legit (real conferences, BCS tie-ins, etc) than my second year (just finished) was with all custom conf, tie-ins, as many conf. championship game's as possible and it was pretty awesome and I doubt I'll go back to playing this like my first season for awhile.

Anywho... because I did that, at least I think so the Nevada Wolfpack were #5 all the way through the season until they finally lost but some way higher prestige teams who were winning out or one lose were in the #10 - #25 range. Ohio State was 0 - 4 and finished 6 - 6 at seasons end and were getting voted into the top #25.

Had something similar happen to me.. Iowa jumped me in the last week of the season to play Bama in the national championship game...

Problem is... I played 4 top 10 teams that year and not to mention.. Texas, A&M, OSU, OU, Baylor were all ranked... I went undefeated and won most of my games by like an average of 21 points but still I wasn't good enough to play in the title game.

Oh yea. And Iowa had 1 loss. to an un-ranked.

SEC National champs 5 years in a row. I would say they have a right to highest conference prestige.

Ranking has been so messed up in the games the last few year. In NCAA 11 I was Texas and beat #1 Oklahoma and I was #2. #3 Boise State beat Unranked Nevada and jumps over me.
