So I ranked the teams by the number of wins they have, and then by the number of losses they have. Then, if they are still tied, then rank them by their most recent season until the tiebreaker is broken. Conference 1 has teams ranked 1-12. Conference 2 has teams ranked 13-24, and etc. There is 8 12-team conferences and 3 9-team conferences. I would rerank these every 4 years.

Conference 1
Boise St
Alabama
TCU
Oregon
Oklahoma
Virginia Tech
Oklahoma St
Utah
LSU
Florida
USC
Wisconsin

Conference 2
BYU
Penn St
Texas
Nebraska
West Virginia
Cincinnati
Michigan St
Stanford
Houston
Missouri
Auburn
Iowa

Conference 3
Florida St
Nevada
Northern Illinois
Arkansas
Tulsa
Southern Miss
South Carolina
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Texas Tech
Pittsburgh

Conference 4
Navy
Clemson
Temple
North Carolina
Ohio
Rutgers
Northwestern
Notre Dame

Miami(FL)
UConn

Conference 5

Baylor
Toledo
Louisiana Tech
Mississippi St

Arkansas St
Louisiana-Lafayette
Ball St
Ole Miss

Conference 7
SMU
San Diego St
FIU
Louisville
Marshall
Tennessee
Middle Tennessee
Wyoming
Illinois
Wake Forest
Arizona St
Maryland

Conference 8
UCLA
Virginia
Purdue
Syracuse
UTEP
Bowling Green
Rice
Iowa St
Kent
Louisiana-Monroe
Washington
Minnesota

Conference 9
Utah St
Army
Kansas
Buffalo
Idaho
FAU
Vanderbilt
Miami(OH)
UAB

Conference 10
Colorado St
Colorado
Duke
San Jose St
UNLV
Indiana
New Mexico St

Eastern Michigan

Conference 11
North Texas
Memphis
Tulane
Akron
Washington St
New Mexico
Texas State
UMass
UTSA
I'd penalize Ohio State for the violations, but I'd move them down one conference instead of three. Also, conferences 9-11 should be cut down to 8 members to allow TSU/UMass/UTSA to be independent due to their transition status.

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

Does anybody have a simple link or spreadsheet with the REAL 2013 conferences are going to be?? And maybe the moves listed separately for future seasons?? All this is making my head hurt and I can't think straight.

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

It's hard to say right now without alignment being over. I'd say Louisville is in the Big12 soon with FSU probably coming too. Don't know who would be coming in addition to them.

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

Does anybody who makes classic realignments have a list of bowls with their previous conference tie-ins? I know Wikipedia has old tie-ins, but they don't list the order in which teams were chosen (i.e. they don't say where the SWC #1 went) Is there any database that does this?

Just curious, I see a lot of people putting Nevada/UNLV in the PAC-12. Do you guys think that they will get in one day or deserve to get in? But I really like this setup, it makes the most sense

I think this is how it stands right now as of 5.27.12

It'll change tomorrow I'm sure.

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

Plan on doing relegation in NCAA 13. When release day comes closer I'll have to set everything up and which conferences to use as demotions.
