Re: The Official How's Your Dynasty Going Thread NCAA 13

Hey guys, I decided to stop my KSU dynasty and download the new rosters, so I have it as up to date as possible. Mainly because of the Tyrann Matheiu getting kicked off the team thing.

I've decided to start with Washington again, and I hope you guys forgive me.

I am their OC and have a 3 year contract with 8 goals.

I will go over Schedule, and All-Americans.

Notable players I redshirted were SS Shaq Thompson, and QB Cyler Miles. They will both be future starters. I start the season ranked #27.

Schedule:
Week 1 - vs Sand Deigo State
Week 2 - at LSU
Week 3 - bye
Week 4 - bye
Week 5 - vs #20 Stanford
Week 6 - at #4 Oregon
Week 7 - vs #2 USC
Week 8 - at Arizona
Week 9 - vs Oregon State
Week 10 - at Cal
Week 11 - vs Utah
Week 12 - at Colorado
Week 13 - at Washington State
Week 14 - CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK
Schedule Strength: A+

All Americans:
SS Sean Parker - 1st Team NCAA 91 OVR
SS Sean Parker - 1st Team All-Pac-12 91 OVR
QB Keith Price - 2nd Team All-Pac-12 92 OVR

*Heisman*
5.) Landry Jones, QB, OU
4.) Denard Robinson, QB, Mich
3.) Barkevious Mingo, LE, LSU
2.) Montee Ball, RB, Wisc
1.) Matt Barkley, QB, USC

I hope you guys enjoy, as I will stay put to this one as long as I can.

I'll update later when I finish the Sand Diego State game.

The third game of the season is a conference game against Georgia Tech.

We started of rocky. First couple of offensive possession were give away by fumble. After we calmed down a little plays started to be made. The game was hard fought and I barely squeaked by.

Final Score:
UVA(21) - GT(17)

Phillip Sims 17/30 262 2TD 2INT.
Perry Jones 19/99 5.2.
Darius Jennings 9/172 19.1 1TD.

I miss Tim Smith, but as you can see Darius Jennings stepped right in and filled in nicely.

Next game is against TCU.

Re: The Official How's Your Dynasty Going Thread NCAA 13

The 2017 has ended, and the University of Kentucky is your National Champions! We lost an early season game to Louisville but ran the table after that, beating Kansas St 38-35 in the MNC.

The Heisman winner was a RB from BYU. Second place was Kansas St's QB, followed by my RB in third.

The final top 5 coaches poll was as follows:

1. Kentucky
2. Georgia
3. Ohio St
4. Kansas St
5. Colorado St (I believe)

At the beginning of the offseason I signed a four year extension at UK, going through the 2021 season. My coach prestige is now an A+, as is expected after winning a championship.

I lose my starting QB, RB, and top w TE's (both over 90 ovr) to graduation. I also lost some key defensive players to graduation, and my junior FB declared for the draft early. I also lost a freshman DT, who's transferring to USF.

I'm currently in offseason recruiting, week 3. My class is currently ranked 6th:

11 four stars
3 three stars
1 2 star (#1 FB)

This years recruits seemed to be down from years past in my dynasty. I signed a few really good gems, but most players turned out to be rated at just about where they were at before scouting. Nevertheless I feel very happy with the players I've already brought in, and those I'm still pursuing.

I'd say my top 2 commits right now are a dual threat QB (Jumped from a 71 to a 77 ovr after scouting) and a DE (jumped from a 73 to an 80 after scouting). I'm also pursuing a WR soft commit to Virginia Tech who has jumped 8 points to an 88 ovr after scouting.

I'll post another update after recruiting for 2017 is complete, and a preview to the 2018 season!

#BBN

Re: The Official How's Your Dynasty Going Thread NCAA 13

End of Year 4, Washington State OC

While it was one hell of a year, the best to this point, it started off looking like it may be a down year. We started off the season with a loss to #10 Wisconsin. With the loss to Wisconsin, we felt like next weeks game against #1 Notre Dame was a sure loss but it wasn't even close, we defeated them to keep our dream season alive.

We won four in a row, meeting unranked Stanford in week 7 and things took a turn for the worse. It was a lopsided loss for us, losing to an unranked team by almost 20 put us in a tough situation to make the big game.

That loss may have been the best thing to happen since Tim Tebow's Press Conference after their loss to Ole Miss.

The team proceeded to decimate Middle Tennesse State and Arizona. They struggled until the fourth quarter against Oregon State, coming back and beating them by 14. We followed that up by defeating #2 Utah and #3 Washington to make it to the Pac-12 Game.

There, we met Utah again, but this time it went down to the wire. The game went to overtime with Washington State scoring first, and fortunately, this would not be a repeat of the previous years loss to Nevada. The defense held strong and stopped Utah in the first overtime, moving Washington State into the #2 spot in the BCS.

Finally, four years later, Washington State met #1 TCU in the National Title Game.

This, again, was Washington State's time.

TCU could not get anything going offensively in the first half, which was the opposite for the Cougars. They pulled ahead with a 31-6 lead at half-time and never looked back.

Washington State, with their young offense, put the game away and they raised the crystal football to cap off their dream season.

Final Schedule Overview
W2 at Wisconsin L 28-35
W3 #2 Notre Dame W 45-28
W4 Arizona State W 42-12
W5 at UCLA W 28-25
W6 at Cal W 27-17
W7 #15 Stanford L 34-52
W8 Mid Tenn State W 87-17
W10 Arizona W 51-0
W11 Oregon State W 50-36
W12 at Oregon W 42-21
W13 at #9 Utah W 49-27
W14 at #7 Washington W 41-35
CW #9 Utah W 56-49 W 56-49 OT
NC #5 TCU W 41-20

Washington State Awards
1st Team All-Americans
QB Tony Archie, 198 of 294 for 4,929 yards, 43 TDs/9 INTs. 99 rushes, 55 yards, 8 TDs
WR Kory Smiley, 77 receptions for 2,235 yards, 18 TDs
WR/HB Bob Brown, 36 receptions for 987 yards, 8 TDs. 155 rushes for 933 yards, 11 TDs

2nd Team All-Americans
P Daniel Phillips, 35 punts for 1635 yards, 44.6 NPA

Freshman All-Americans
QB Tony Archie
CB Tommy Clark
, 53 tackles, 8 PD, FF, TFL, INT

Kory Smiley, Biletnikoff Winner
Bob Brown, 2nd in Biletnikoff, 9th in Walter Camp, 10th in Maxwell Voting
Daniel Phillips, 7th in Guy Voting

I'm unsure how Archie didn't even make it onto the O'Brien list, as well as why the Heisman Winner Michael Holmes (Virginia Tech, back-to-back Heisman Winner) was a 2nd Team All-American, finished 5th in the Walker, 7th in Walter Camp and Maxwell Voting. He was not the best player, or even the best running back in the league.

Re: The Official How's Your Dynasty Going Thread NCAA 13

Game four was against TCU.

I got complete dominated on both sides of the ball. I can't really speak for the defense, though, I just know TCU scored at ease. Offensively we just played very poorly. Fumbles, drop passes, sacks and interceptions killed me this game. Ever since the game against GT, we've been fumbling like crazy.

I was ranked too. My ranking might be gone after this game.

Final Score:
#24UVA(20)-#13TCU(40)

Phillip Sims 29/48 384 1TD 1INT.
Perry Jones 10/71 7.1 1TD.
Darius Jones 12/172

Next game against LA Tech.

I can hopefully bounce back and get a W.

Re: The Official How's Your Dynasty Going Thread NCAA 13

I passed up my dream job as the Head Coach of Penn State prior to Year 4, hoping that I'd be offered the Head Coaching job for Washington State.

Well, Charlie Weis's contract expired this off-season, prior to Year 5. I was in the "running" for the Head Coaching job but was not offered the contract. It actually pissed me off, extremely pissed me off. I passed up the job I really wanted in hopes that Washington State would give me a shot.. and than they go and offer Weis a 4-year contract extension. I may leave after this upcoming off-season because of this.

Re: The Official How's Your Dynasty Going Thread NCAA 13

#5 VT hosts Virginia in the last game of the season. VTs #1 ranked rush defense has looked pop Warner as Virginia RB Kevin Parks has set a school record with 255 yards on 23 attempts. 8 minutes remain with VT up 27-24. Last years heisman winner, and a runner in this years poll, sophomore RB Michael Holmes left the game in the first quarter with a broken wrist, ending his season.

Edit: idk wtf is going on. Anytime I play Virginia I can't stop their rush. Last year their senior roasted me. I have their qb at 11/23 with only 128 but damn!!

Game five against LA Tech.

I bounced back from that horrible game against TCU and defeated LA Tech. Not much to really say, but I came and did what I was suppose to do.

Final Score:
LTU(10) - #25UVA(35)
--

Phillip Sims 28/37 332 4TD 1INT.
Perry Jones 19/92 4.8.
Darius Jennings 9/148 16.4 2TD.

Darius Jennings has been a real beast ever since Tim Smith went down. Pure beast.

Next game is against Duke.
