when first changing the channel to the game, I thought Miami was wearing their green uniforms. But then I noticed something different about the helmet without a white face mask. I really like these. I think they could work with them. only downside IMO is the "hurricanes" instead of NOB. but the gradient and chrome helmet logos look awesom.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I agree the only thing I don't like is the "Hurricanes" on the back instead of the player names.

The grey is unbelievably stupid because of the fact that the Canes run out of white smoke. They need to go with this template though, maybe add some stripes to the sleeves but its about time they retire the upside down U look.

I loved the helmets, the jerseys were just...well boring. The reason they were much darker because of the rain. I believe they were much lighter. I mean, look at Michigan State. Their green is dark to begin with but after some sweat and maybe rain, the green looks black. Keep the helmet, trash the jerseys, especially after how they played

Even taking in the sweat and rain they are still way too dark to be anything close to an actual representation of the smoke Miami runs out of. Would have been better if they simply introduced a new white jersey that represented the change in design (i.e. new white jersey this week, new orange jersey next week). I'm sure some people will buy the replicas for these but the result of the game is likely to make them unpopular with the fans, meanwhile introducing a new away jersey at a home game in a special event would allow them to sell the jerseys regardless of the result (even with a loss fans would know that its the new white jersey moving forward and thus be more willing to purchase one).

I understand the business side of it. Maybe the gray jerseys were a no no. But do we agree the helmets were very nice?

I always enjoy the flimsy justification for gray or black uniform pieces for schools.
