I think many of you are disappointed with his impressions because they're not exactly what you wanted to hear. Regardless, he said the game is enjoyable and the gameplay is vastly improved from last year. He also said that the graphical improvements are far and few between and that the presentation kind of let him down. I personally see no problems with any of those impressions and am still hyped as ever for this game. From the screens, I like the look of the new menus and all that. EA didn't do too much to change the in-game presentation though, which could be seen as a fault to many.

In any case, I'm still looking forward to Tuesday because the impressions have confirmed what I thought all along: It's going to be a great year for football games

Seems legit.. If not, you'd make a great car saleman. One question.. How does the 5.1 sound in the game.. Last yrs was below awful..

How is the CPU at running the ball? I see where you say the run game is nearly the same for the user, but what about the CPU? From what I have read the CPU still sucks at running and abandons it fairly quickly.

From what I've read, if you play at the 5 minute quarters they will abandon if fairly quickly but it's a lot better when u move up the quarter length to a more realistic length..

anyone know this for sure?

HMcCoy you are right EA need their (censored)kicked for hyping this game up this year and it is really the same thing from last year the only thing thats differnt is the sky looks much better and the HFA. Other than that I could've kept my 2004 edition. This is my last time pre-ordering an EA Sports game from now on I am going to rent it first. This crap makes me so mad because I remember the producer Moye from Ea in one of his interviews saying that you could build up your HFA in your dynasty mode how can you do this when you can't add any seats to your stadium. How can Miss State all of sudden have better HFA than Tenn when Tenn have 100,000 seats and Miss State only have 40,000? Somebody please explain this to me. I feel betrayed and lied to EA you sucks

I don't see a problem with what the original poster said about the game. He even said the gameplay is better than last year. I can live with the graphics and presentation being slightly outdated as long as the gameplay is good (see High Heat Baseball). I do find it kinda weird that he only gave the game a 78 out of 100 though. Gameplay is really the only thing that matters to me.

I have no beef with his impressions. I like the EA and ESPN games each year, so I can see where the comparison thing comes in. Of course, when someone posts something about the game being exactly the same as last year, all of the people anxiously waiting for this year's game are going to turn into rabid beasts. I've seen with my own eyes (through the videos online) that there are plenty of new animations just by using the big hit button, so surely there are new hits. also, remember that he didn't play much, and I know all of you remember that last year, even after a month, you would see a new animation and think "hey, that was sweet." It's fun to see how the closer we get to release, the more people need to protect their game. But year in and year out, we put that shiny new disk in our system, let out a sigh of relief, and get giddy like schoolgirls. I can't wait to see all of you little ladies posting how great the game is once you've played it... my point is, relax, the wait is worth it.
