Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

August Game update:
Villareal CF VS Real Betis

2 - 5

What a crazy game for both teams

Villareal storm out to a 2-0 lead by the half then Real Betis goes on a scoring frenzy with ‘59 & ‘68 goals from The man,The Myth,”Superstar” DANNY INGS!!!! That leaves 3 goals unaccounted for hmm I’ll let you guys guess the other 3 heres a hint

Spoiler

Real Betis vs RCD Espaynol couldnt get logo to work on Espaynol’s so I just left it off)

2 - 1

Not much in this game other then me getting a goal with “Superstar” Danny Ings in the 4th minute
and a 35’ goal from Matilla. Espaynol got a goal in the 24th minute to tie it then Matilla scores soon there after to put us up. Nothing happened in the 2nd half just a defensive battle by both teams.

Athletic Bilbao vs Real Betis

1 - 1

Not much to say about this game other than the fact that Bilbao got 3 people sent off in the second half and Danny Ings scored his League best 4th goal.

I'm not going to lie. I've been trying to keep up with your updates and have been reading them, but I've not enjoyed it as much as before when it was just writing. However, it might just be me and I will still read, even if you keep at this format. Just not as enjoyable personally, that's all.

THANK YOU. I was looking for feedback from the start and all I got was one post talking about the format so I just kept going.

Yeah, it just kind of looks like too much is being crammed in in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it's good looking, I just feel it isn't practical. We're not getting as much detail as previously, and that's what I like the most. The detail people like you before, Indi, Chico, Simp and Rabbit put into updates is the type of update I aspire to put out. I feel like your updates, in terms of enjoyment in the Essex and other careers were up there with the best. I love detail. Might just be me though! Since the beginning of my posting, I read your guys updates and aspire to have updates with that much detail. I hope I have reached the level of your guys updates and it's just that I love detail. I think your current format is great for transfer news but not so good for the normal updates.

I went on a bit of a rant there about how much I love this thread. I just love how everyone is nice and gives feedback all the time. Not like the early days when there were people fighting over teams and unrealistic transfers and common signings. Since Next-gen came out, this thread became so pleasant and there has only really been one argument. #FatherJamie2014

All in all, this went from feedback to an appreciation post.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

I don't comment on peoples posts as much as I would like to so I'm just gonna leave this here.

Chico- Osasuna is a brilliant career. I'm loving it so far. The detail, the images and the signings are all great. I hope you can turn this team into one of the best.

Simp- Last time I commented on an update it was to give you a telling off for signing Liverpool players :P Need to let you know that I'm still enjoying the career, even if it is of United stealing Liverpools best and becoming great. Your writing is great and you always worry about your English. You write better English than the majority of English/American people do!!

Indi- I enjoyed out conversation the other day. I think that's the first time since I joined that I've talked to you about real life stuff Just to let you know, your writing style is my goal in updates. I read your updates and in the next update I put out, I try to put in as much detail as you do with yours. Tbh, you set the layout for most of the careers on this thread, the centre aligned, club crest at the top. Your careers are absolutely great but I must say, none of them will top the Sunderland one :P

Tex- This post began as one about your updates and it delved off into something completely different. I still enjoy your updates, just preferred your previous layout You can really see the effort you put into making these updates for us.

Keano- You are doing a great job with Swansea. I love what you did with the icons and your careers are all so pleasing on the eye!!!!!

Kenny- I hate Everton with a passion. However I still find myself drawn to you career, routing for your team to do well. You slot right in here when you joined and you can see by your style that your brother must have give you some tips.

Falaph- Welcome to the forum buddy. The Millwall career should be interesting and I really like your signings!

SHoward- I do like your Argentine league career, it's in a league we haven't seen before. In fact, I feel like we're all branching out into the unknown. Tex in Bundesliga 2., Indi in France, Chico joining the Spanish revolution. It seems like me, Keano and Kenny are left in the default zone! Anyway, you are right. I think it would be an understatement to say you had depth up front!

Rabbit- The amount of time you must put in to keep both careers up and running is incredible. You're the last of the 14 guys and for that I salute you. Seriously, you are incredible at updating.

Solarios- Welcome back. I'm enjoying the Spurs one, even with the lack of detail because it is so smooth and just a quick rundown. I focus mainly on your transfers. That Lloris deal was insane!

Sportfreak- I can see you going places in that career with Betis and I'm sure you'll win the league. Can I just give some constructive criticism. Try centre aligning it, the last update was difficult to read because of the massive Vilarreal crest.

Cruzerr- Nice going with your pro. You are getting injury prone though. Personally I don't like pro careers but yours is nice to read and see how much other people can enjoy it. Plus your gameplay images are excellent.

If I missed anyone I am incredibly sorry!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

FC St. Pauli
FIFA 15 - Season 1

Die Freibeuter der Liga

January 2015

FC St. Pauli 4 - FC K'lautern 0
STP - Nothe 18' 88', Rzatkowski 44', Ciftci 68'
MOTM: Rzatkowski

Nothe opened it up in the first half after getting past the defense and slotting it home past the keeper. Rzatkowski followed it up with a cut to his left and firing back across the goal to the far post. Ciftci then made his debut in the second half and made quick work scoring his first after some nice work cutting through the defense. Nothe added a second after Ciftci won a corner and Nothe was able to head home the ensuing kick.

FC St. Pauli 2 - Union Berlin 0
STP - Storm 16', Ciftci 35'
MOTM: Tschauner

Storm won the ball from the last defender and went in on goal with only the keeper to beat. He attacked the center of the box before firing it into the right side of the net. Ciftci showed off his speed and strength racing down the left side of the box with a defender on his back before striking a left footed shot to the far right post to double the lead.

FC St. Pauli 4 - SV Sandhausen 0
STP - Ciftci 29', 57', Nothe 81' (Pen), Budimir 90'
MOTM: Zelalem

Ciftci got out ahead of the defense on the left side and finished a left footed shot to the right side of the goal. Rzatkowski then played Ciftci through on goal who drew out the keeper before finishing around him for a brace on the night. Nothe finished a questionable penalty call to put the game out of reach late. Maier attacked the goal in the 90th minute and played it across to Budimir for the easy finish.

League Table

Youth Academy
Lukas Hartmann (Germany) - RB, 16 yrs old, 44-46 OVR 73-79 POT (Defensive Minded)
Niklas Lechleiter (Germany) - 15 yrs old, 45-57 OVR 71-91 POT
Odisseas Wolf (Germany) - 16 yrs old, 43-55 OVR 69-87 POT
Rouwen Beck (Germany) - 15 yrs old, 43-45 OVR 65-69 POT (Winger)

St. Pauli Player of the Month
Philipp Tschauner

With another full month of no goals allowed, Tschauner has been out of his mind in goal. 6 straight matches over a span of two months that he has not allowed a goal. With this form, St. Pauli doesn't need to do much to keep earning points.

Transfers Out
Enis Alushi - €180K to Wiener Neustadt
Jan-Philipp Kall - €100K to Arsenal Tula
Philipp Ziereis - Loan to Arsenal Tula
Maurice Litka - Loan to Admira Wacker
John Verhoek - Player Exchange

Transfers In

CB, Asger Stromgaard Sorensen - €180K from RB Salzburg

A young prospect at center back, Stromgaard Sorensen is not expected to contribute right away with his new club. He is strong and mobile for his age, but still needs to develop across the board to become a reliable player. This is one to watch in the future.

ST, Nadir Ciftci - €500K + John Verhoek from Dundee United

The phenomenal attacker out of Turkey, Ciftci will be looking to score goals in Germany now after joining St. Pauli. The type of striker who can do it all and play in multiple positions. His versatility and goal scoring instincts will surely find him a place in the XI quickly with his new club.

RM, Joshua Gatt - Pre-contract agreement from Molde FK

The lighting quick American is making a move to St. Pauli, but not until next season. Gatt has agreed to a free transfer and will look to provide support in multiple positions. His abilities in both the midfield and defense will surely find him a place on the pitch sooner than later.

CB, Dustin Bomheuer - Pre-contract agreement from F. Dusseldorf

Another center back joining the club, this one on a free transfer. Bomheuer is without a doubt big and strong, but he is also surprisingly mobile for his size. He will likely have a chance to compete right away for a spot in the XI and a solid pre-season could do wonders for him.

RW, Mateusz Mak - Pre-contract agreement from GKS Belchatow

The young Polish twin will be joining St. Pauli next season with his brother on a free transfer. Mateusz is predominantly plays on the right side, but has more versatility in terms of defense than his brother. He and Joshua Gatt will likely be competing for playing time.

LW, Michal Mak - Pre-contract agreement from GKS Belchatow

The other Polish twin that is joining next season, Michal is more attack oriented than his brother. He can play on both the wing and as a striker, and will be looking for a chance to show off his abilities on the pitch.

Press Conference
Q: Another fantastic month, and you are now on top of the table. Things couldn't be going much better for you right now, and with a little less than half the season left, how can you ensure you continue to stay on top?

A: First thing is, the defense is what is separating us from everyone else right now. We haven't allowed a goal in two months now, and it is no surprise that we have won each match in that period of time as well. If we continue this focus, we will no doubt stay on top.

Q: You have made a number of signings this month, some joining now, others not until next month. What can you tell us about each of these players, and the impact you expect them to have on the club?

A: These players all have the potential to be huge for this club. They all fit something that I am trying to accomplish with the squad, and I think they will fit in nicely. You are already seeing that Nadir Ciftci can do, that is just a small taste of what is to come.

Q: Philipp Tschauner continues to be outstanding in goal. He has posted 6 straight clean sheets, and hasn't allowed a goal since November. What is he doing that is so effective over the past two months?

A: Philipp puts in the time in training. He is easily one of the most dedicated players I've ever had the privilege to watch. He is one of the first to arrive, and last to leave. His work is paying off right now, and we are watching the best keeper in the league right now each and every match.
