Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Team: Orlando City (3 Star)
League: MLS (Chili Petrogas)
Difficulty: Goniras Sliders, Legendary, 15 Min Halfs, All Man, No Sim
Objective: Make A Run For The Playoffs
Record: 11/4/2 1st place Apertura winner

Here is a quick backdrop. Added 18 teams from MLS to Chile League, kept Chivas & San Jose in MLS, added Orlando City to Chile.

Added the top Chili teams into the Columbian league, replacing lower level sides to MLS.

Wanted to Create the best set up for the South American Champions Cup and include MLS sides.

3 teams from MLS, 3 from Columbia, 4 from Brasil, 4 from Argentina, 2 from Mexico

End Of Season Apertura Update
After 17 game single round robin tournament, we finish 1st place with only 2 losses and 37 points. We will play Real Salt Lake on a wednesday/saturday home & way series in the first round of the 8 team playoff.

Goals & Assist
Adryan finished the season with 10 goals & 6 assist. Great campaign from the 18 year old CAM/CF from Brazil. Martial finished with an impressive 9 and Mbengue probably the most impressive scoring 7 goals from the LDM position.

Last 7 Matches To End Season
Home/Away
Orlando City 3 - 1 Montreal
Sporting KC 0 - 5 Orlando City
Orlando City 3 - 3 Portland
Colorado 0 - 3 Orlando City
Orlando City 4 - 4 Seattle
New England 1 - 0 Orlando City (New England was winless threw 15, played reserves and suffered worst loss of season)
Orlando City 4 - 3 Chicago

We aimed for 19 of 21 points, we were only able to achieve 14 points. We will have to improves if we wanna qualify for the South American Champions League by winning the Apertura playoffs.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Hi, I posted this on EA official forums but still didn't get any answer.

I noticed this community is very active also about carrer mode which I like most in FIFA, so I am reporting my questions here hoping someone may able to help!

I've been playing FIFA 13 and FIFA 14 for nearly 300 hours overall in these two years on my PC.

I really enjoy playing Carrer Mode, buying and selling players and trying to become one of the best manager in the world :smileyhappy: !

The problem is: how can I become manager of top teams e.g. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern Monaco... ???

In my last Carrer Mode in FIFA 14 I have been manager of:

2013/2014: Juventus: winning Seria A, National Cup and Champion's League
2014/2015: Manchester City: winning Premier League and National Cup (they weren't partecipating any European competition when I joined)
2015/2016: Paris Saint Germain: winning Ligue 1 and National Cup (they weren't partecipating any European competition when I joined)
2016/2017: Atletico Madrid: winning Liga BBVA and Euro League

Now, whenever I try to look for another team, I still find weak clubs.

Even when there are good (but not top) teams like Liverpool, Arsenal and Monaco which I can ask to work as a manager, they say "we do not think you are up to the task bla bla ... "

How can this absurdity be happening? How can I be regarded as "unable" to manage them?

I've won each national championship as a manager, among the most difficult in Europe (Italy, England, France and Spain) !!!

What else should be done in order to become manager of teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern Monaco?!?!

The very same wierd thing was happening also in FIFA 13... it is very unsatisfing!

So question is: what should I do?

Also: I strongly recommend developers to fix how this system works, it's not realistic at all!

You also should give us back some teams among which to choose when a season is over: in this scenario the teams theirselves are asking the manager to take the job!

Any answer would be very appreciated... I've been playing so many hours and I never had the satisfaction of managing one those bigger teams in the world!

The easy answer is that, well teams hire coaches when they either fire their coach or he leaves. Coaches don't leave in fifa so they have to be fired. Barca, real, ect don't do bad enough to fire the manager. So in this sense it's actually realistic that you wouldn't get those jobs unless they had a down year.

It makes some sense, but whatever... the main goal of a manager carrer is working for one of the best clubs in the world.

At a certain point, after winning many cups for many years (I forgot to mention also one Euro Cup with France and one World Cup with Brazil), they should let be the manager of one of them, regardless of how good they are doing.

I really liked in the old FIFA the fact that, when each season is over, there is an option to stay in the current club (if done well) or choose among other clubs' offers.

umm you said "main goal of a manager carrer is working for one of the best clubs in the world", for one thats not true, thats your opinion, not a fact. Some people like smaller clubs, leagues and happy where they are. & Secondly, its ironic you're saying you havent been able to get the best jobs, because last time I checked Man City and Juve have the biggest budgets in their respective leagues. There is only 3 teams that are better jobs then Man City and Juve... Bayern, Real Madrid & Barca. PSG is also a big job... oh and Monaco? Monaco?! lol since when is that ever a big job? lol just cuz they got a lil money now

I've been clearly misunderstood.

With "wanting to work for best clubs is the world" I meant in real world.

Let's say a random person becomes a manager: wouldn't his best ambition be working in teams like Real, Barcelona and Bayern?

So should be in FIFA.

A completely different matter is what you are writing about: if a person's strictly personal ambition is doing well in small clubs.

It's 100% OK, but shouldn't have he the right to change his mind and work for a bigger club one day?

The game should allow this.

Regarding AS Monaco, you didn't read well my post: I never referred to it as top club. Take a look:

I don't care about money... even if would be so, when reaching clubs with "OP" players like Messi, Ronaldo, Ribery... what would I spend the money on?!
