First was the South Anerican Cup. The Americans had a brutal group stage that included Uraquay and Colombia. It saw the Americans advancing on goal difference along with Colombia. We marched through Venezuela rather easily setting up a semi final match that was a rematch between Uraquay and the U.S. That was a draw the first time. This next match saw the U. S. Win another close match. The final was a match with us verses Brazil. This match would need extra time and come down to penalty kicks. It saw us go down 1-3 on pens. Going into shootout we were tied at 2 all.

While the drama of South American Cup was going on Roma had lots of it's own drama taking place. With negotiations taking place that would add RB DeAndre Yedlin a member of my US National team. Also we negotiated for RB Rodriguez from Wolfsburg. We were pretty set on that. But the board pulled a dramatic move Strootman and cash was sent to Shalke 04 for Julian Draxler. They took the deal. Next came the boomer, Bordeaux wanted Gervinho so I said 30 million, they made a counter of 25. I stuck to my guns and said 30 million no less. Next thing I know Gervinho was gone just like that. With added funds we needed a replacement. We had been tracking Raheem Sterling so we decided to pursue him. Transfer nogotiations were easy, but contract negotiations were brutal. With throwing some huge cash in the contract we were able to seal the deal.

Here's the lineup:

ST Hulk
ST Sterling
CAM Doumbia
LM Draxler
CM Planick
RM DI Rossi
RB Rodriguez
CB Castin
CB Monelas
LB Yedlin
GK De Sanctis

On to the new campaign.
Unlucky with the South American cup. You did well to get to the final though! Nice transfers you made too. Just a question about your line up. How come you play De Rossi on tShe right and Doumbia at CAM? Wouldn't Sterling be better at CAM than Doumbia and vice versa? Surely you have better wide players that are naturally wingers too and use De Rossi in the centre?

Yeah Keano that was a misplacement by me. Doumbia is at ST, also Sterling is at CAM, still trying to find a place for Di Rossi will try your idea Keano because I need him to be more effective. Start to this season has not been good. Thanks for the insight.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

The New Clough

January 2015

Transfers

Alex McCarthy, GK, 75 Ovr, 25, England

Alex has been offered an escape route from Reading where Federici is first choice. The Englishman is still young in goalkeeping terms and has plenty of time to grow. He has signed a pre-contract with us and will join at the beginning of next season. It is 3 year deal which will see him earn £30k a week.

Luke Hyam, CM, 68 Ovr, 23, England

Luke has been brought in as Robert Tesche's replacement. The deal sees the German go, in a straight swap deal, to Ipswich. Hyam is 4 years younger at 23 so he has a lot of room to grow and has agreed a lower wage than Robert was on. His 4 year deal will see him earn £8k a week. He will most likely have a rotational role this season.

Todd Kane, RB, 64 Ovr, 21, England

Young Todd has been brought in solely for depth at the right fullback position since Jack Hunt's loan has ended and we had no other natural RB to cover for Lichaj. He joins on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season. He can also operate on the right hand side of the midfield.

Nick Powell, CAM, 69 Ovr, 20, England

Another player brought in to add depth was Nick Powell, although he could make more of an impact immediately if called upon. He will be back up to Cataldi in the CAM role until the end of the season. Van Gaal let him come to us on loan with minimal difficulties. The 20 year old is also capable of playing up top.

Liam Moore, CB, 69 Ovr, 21, England

The young English centre half arrives from Leicester City in a deal that sees Jack Hobbs go the other way along with £500.000 cash. He is quick for a defender and that enables him to fill in at RB should we need him to.

Kaan Ayhan, CB, 67 Ovr, 20, Turkey

Robbie Di Matteo and Schalke have agreed to send 20 year old, Turkish defender Kaan Ayhan on loan to us for the rest of the season in order to help in our push for promotion. He is versatile and very good technically. This allows him to play in central defensive midfield as well as at RB.

Jordon Ibe, LM, 67 Ovr, 19, England

Brendan Rodgers gladly helped us out with our winger depth problem by agreeing to send highly rated starlet Jordan Ibe on loan to us for the remainder of the season.

Out

Matty Fryatt, ST, 69 Ovr, 28, England

The striker returns to Hull City for a fee of £900.000 after smooth negotiations. We wish the 28 year old well with his career and there are no hard feelings between the two.

Jack Hobbs, CB, 69 Ovr, 26, England

The 26 year old centre half didn't fit into our plans and he gladly jumped at the chance to join Leicester in order to try and break into their team now that Liam Moore was joining us in the same deal.

Robert Tesche, CM, 70 Ovr, 27, Germany

Robert wasn't happy with the amount of game time he was getting so he asked for a transfer. Not wanting to get in the way of his career, seeing as he only will have a few years before he starts to decline, we allowed him to join Ipswich in a straight swap for one of our summer targets Luke Hyam.

January 3, Dean Court
FL Championship: Match 24

Bournemouth 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Rantie 29'

MotM: Karl Darlow (NFO, 7.9)

We were dominated in the first half and that led to the change to a 4-3-3 from a 4-2-3-1 at halftime. Rantie got away from Mancienne and then managed to stay on the ball when Lascelles tackled him. Darlow was helpless as it curled around him. Dicko missed a great chance to score close to halftime and then another in the second half. Darlow was keeping the scoreline at 1-0 with tremendous saves throughout and that earned him MOTM thanks to 10 saves. We were unable to break through the Bournemouth defence so we left bitterly disappointed.

January 6, City Ground
FL Championship: Match 25

Nott'm Forest 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Antonio 17' Assombalonga 90'
Hélan 63'

MotM: Karl Darlow (NFO, 8.7)

A very good and satisfying way to bounce back. Former Wednesday man Antonio opened the scoring using his pace on the counter attack down the left. He cut in and finished it in off the right post. Darlow made two wonderful saves before Hélan ended the half with a shot going wide. In the 63rd minute Hélan headed past Darlow after terrible confusion at the front post. We started to get more chances and Cohen shot wide before Burke forced a save. Tesche then provided a great through ball to Assombalonga, who made a well timed run in the channel. He shot early past Kirkland winning the game in the last minute. We used the 4-3-3 that we had used in the second half against Bournemouth today.

January 10, City Ground
FA Cup: Round 3

Nott'm Forest 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Lansbury 86'
Maguire 15' Palmer 68' s/o

MotM: Henri Lansbury (NFO, 8.5)

We faced Wednesday for the second time in a row today, but this time in the FA Cup. With the first chance of the game Chris Maguire put the Owls in front when he turned Mancienne and slid the ball under Darlow on the stretch. The game was even until fullback Palmer picked up a second yellow card for a second mistimed sliding challenge on Paterson. Wednesday parked the bus, deciding to protect their lead and sometimes were even playing with no striker. Eventually substitute Veldwijk held the ball up with three men around him and managed to find Lansbury's run into the box. The midfielder made up for his missed chance ten minutes earlier smashing it past Westwood. Veldwijk then had a massive chance to win it in the last minute but he saw his effort agonizingly hit the post.

January 17, Ewood Park
FL Championship: Match 26

Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Nott'm Forest

Rhodes 2'
Cataldi 54'

MotM: Henri Lansbury (NFO, 7.3)

Just one of those games. We dominated everything but with Blackburn's only shot they scored. Mancienne's header was a poor one and it fell to King and all he had to do was play in Rhodes who had run into the space vacated by Mancienne. The Scot made no mistake with the finish. It remained 1-0 until a quick free kick taken by Assombalonga caught Blackburn off guard. Cataldi received it and skipped past Kilgallon into the box where he put the ball in off the right post. Unfortunately Jamie Paterson was stretchered off with a Broken Metatarsal early in the second half. Nick Powell and Luke Hyam also got their debuts off the bench tonight.

Jamie Paterson will be out of action for 8 weeks while recovering from a Broken Metatarsal.

January 21, Hillsborough Stadium
FA Cup: Round 3 Replay

Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Nott'm Forest

Maguire 9' (Pen) Coke 39'

MotM: Glenn Loovens (SHW, 7.9)

This was the third time we faced Wednesday this month and they seem to have us figured out. They were the much better team, but they did get a lot of luck. The penalty was never a penalty. Darlow clearly got to the cross first ahead of Lavery but in the eyes of the referee he didn't. Maguire comfortably put away the spot kick. Giles Coke doubled the lead six minutes before halftime playing a one-two with Madine to open up our brittle defence. Chris Kirkland was also really good in goal for the Owls meaning the game ended 2-0 with us also being knocked out of the FA Cup.

January 24, City Ground
FL Championship: Match 27

Nott'm Forest 2-0 Charlton

Powell 22' Veldwijk 87'

MotM: Lars Veldwijk (NFO, 7.2)

We switched back to a 4-2-3-1 in order to try and keep a clean sheet and become more solid. And that's what happened. Liam Moore and Kaan Ayhan made their debuts in defence while Luke Hyam and Nick Powell got their first starts. The latter opened the scoring 22 minutes in after Veldwijk cut in along the end line before pulling it back. The Manchester United loanee controlled the ball between two Charlton defenders before smashing it with his laces past Henderson. Charlton missed some glorious chances before Veldwijk sealed the game late on. He dispossessed Ben Haim, who had intercepted Burke's attempted through ball, and powered it into the left bottom corner.

January 31, Elland Road
FL Championship: Match 28

Leeds United 1-2 Nott'm Forest

Sharp 64'
Moore 26' Lansbury 47' (Pen)

MotM: Danilo Cataldi (NFO, 8.6)

To finish the month we faced Leeds United away from home. We rather comfortably won the game. Liam Moore scored his first Forest goal spinning away from his marker and heading in a Cataldi corner. Mali international Dicko won us a penalty two minutes after halftime, Sam Bryam the guilty party. Henri Lansbury celebrated his 1 year contract extension by converting the spot kick. Sharp would score with a piece of luck when Mancienne's tackle made the ball roll straight to the forward who would have been offside in other circumstances and he duly converted. With this win we moved up to 4th and ended the month on a high.

Player of the Month

Henri Lansbury

The English midfielder's performances this month earned him a one year extension onto his current contract. He excelled in the more attacking CDM in the 4-2-3-1 this month picking up two MOTMs and coming close to a third against Leeds. The former Arsenal youth scored twice this month and both were crucial. The first securing a replay in the FA Cuo and the second earning all three points against Leeds.

Kyle Harvey - RB/LM/CM - 39-45 Ovr - 82-94 Pot - 16 - England (Unknown): At 5'8" Kyle still possibly has some growing left to do. Although judging by his style of play, his height isn't necessarily important. He looks to me like he will settle on the left but he could end up being a pacey fullback. We will have to teach him how to defend though as his best attributes are his Acceleration, Sprint Speed, Agility, Dribbling, Ball Control and Crossing while he also possesses OK Balance, Reactions, Attack Positioning, Long Passing and Long Shooting.

Sean Augustien - LW/RW/ST/LM/CM - 46-58 Ovr - 70-88 Pot - 15 - Netherlands (Unknown): The reports are only just starting to come together on this young Dutch player but they are suggesting that he may be best suited to being a central midfielder or a play making winger that doesn't rely on pace alone. We will know more soon about the 15 year old.

Our 3 scouts are currently in the Netherlands and Greece for a further 2 months while the third is in Japan for 3 months.

Manager Thoughts

We picked up 10 points from a possible 15 and that moved us up 1 place into 4th so I'm happy with that. I would have liked to have beaten Bournemouth but it was just one of those games where we couldn't score. Blackburn are always tough but as you saw they only had one shot on target! I suppose it made up for the Wednesday game in the league when we probably should have drawn but ended up sneaking a winner. I'm disappointed that we were knocked out of the FA Cup but that's football and Wednesday, in fairness, just outplayed us in the replay.

Transfers

Quite a bit of movement as you can see with 7 players, including one on a pre-contract, joining the club and 3 leaving. However only 2 of the 6 arriving now are permanent. The rest are loan deals primarily for cover and depth. The signings of Ibe, Powell, Ayhan and Kane are for this reason. Ibe and Powell may see more time depending on the form of Dicko, who is playing LM as Paterson is injured, and Cataldi. Ayhan will be primarily used if there is injuries/suspensions etc. Kane if Lichaj is fatigued/injured. Now to the permanent signings: I am really happy with the capture of McCarthy for when Darlow's loan is over. He will be a rock in goal I expect. Moore was brought in for when Lascelles leaves after his loan but I am playing him right away. He has plenty of potential and room to grow. Hyam is a good rotation player and eventual starter. He also is on a considerably lower wage than Tesche. To the outgoings: Fryatt wasn't going to get much of a game considering that I am now going with a one striker formation and he isn't really a target man to be able to be up on his own. He also declined in overall after his injury so I thought it best to leave him go. Hobbs and Tesche were both unhappy with their game time so I cut them loose.

February Fixtures
7/2 Watford (h)
14/2 Blackpool (a)
21/2 Brighton (a)
28/2 Huddersfield (h)

We are aiming for 6 points against Huddersfield and Blackpool and ideally a win against Watford to push us up into 3rd. I'd be happy with a point against Brighton, although they have slipped a bit this month falling behind Norwich in the table on goal difference, significantly I might add. Target: 10/12

What do you guys think of the transfers? Do you also want me to post the squad after the window? Thanks for Reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

Not sure tbh as I'm not at my ps3 but they are probably around 13th-17th I'd say.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Exeter City F.C
FIFA 15 – Season 4
17/18 Season

The Grecians

March

Barclays Premier League Match:

Exeter City 0 – Manchester City 2

MANNegredo (19’)
Ever Banega floats the ball over the top for Negredo to execute an excellent diving header over Jonathan Bond for the lead.

MAN – Banega (41’)
Ever Banega finds himself on the edge of the penalty area uncontested so he jogs into the middle where he then unleashes a shot that beats the keeper at his near post to knock the stuffing out of Exeter.

Barclays Premier League Match:

Exeter City 1 – Liverpool 2

EXE – Appiah (68’)
Maxime Blanc squares the ball to Appiah on the half-way line who can then turn and run at the defence. His pace takes him past his marker and through on goal where he can slip the ball under the keeper for the first goal of the game.

LIV – Sturridge (70’)
Fabio Borini slots the ball through the defence for Daniel Sturridge who cuts inside before having his shot. The ball slams onto the post before crossing the line and levelling the game up.

LIV – Henderson (85’)
Fabio Borini cuts inside and puts the ball into the path of Jordan Henderson outside the box. Henderson gets a big run up before hitting the ball side-footed into the far corner.

We missed so many chances in the last five minutes. The first of those chances were when Will Grigg received the ball in the penalty area and he tries to shoot but the ball rolls through his legs. Another effort was in the very last minute where Reise Allassani forces a great save out of Simon Mignolet and the ball rolls out to Jason Banton who tries to take a touch instead of just tapping it into the empty goal and he’s instantly dispossessed due to his decision.

Our Best Performer: Kwabena Appiah

Making their Debut: Evan Davies

Barclays Premier League Match:

Aston Villa 4 – Exeter City 4

AST – Sio (16’)
Ashley Westwood’s pass is blocked and this makes the ball roll through the defence for Giovanni Sio to pounce on it and smash it past Bond.

EXE Morgunov (PEN) (37’)
Appiah cuts in from the left and he’s unfairly challenged in the area by Ciaran Clark who surely should get a red card. The referee gives Clark no card and Bee explodes with anger on the touchline. It takes the referee himself to give Bee warning to sit back down before he’s sent to the stands and Bee reluctantly complies. Alan Morgunov steps up to take the penalty. He hits it into the right corner where Aston Villa keeper, Emiliano Viviano gets a hand to it but it’s not enough to deny Exeter their equaliser.

EXE Appiah (43’)
Appiah slots Diego Poyet through on goal who holds up outside the penalty area to give the ball back to Appiah who can sneak the ball in at the keeper’s near post for the lead.

EXE – Morgunov (PEN) (52’)
Alan Morgunov whips a ball to the back post from a corner. It’s a little deep and the ball goes to Reise Allassani on the edge of the box. He advances before being crunched into by Carlos Sánchez and it’s another penalty to Exeter City. This time, Morgunov makes the keeper go the wrong way and it’s Exeter who have a two goal lead.

AST – Kozák (77’)
The defence opens up to allow Libor Kozák to easily just waltz through into the penalty area and find the back of the net using the outside of his right foot.

AST – Delph (81’)
Fabien Delph’s poor touch actually takes him past the half-hearted defending of Exeter which allows him to hit the ball along the ground past the keeper and into the far right corner. Aston Villa get their equaliser!

EXE Banton (89’)
Jason Banton becomes the super sub as he tries a shot that Fabien Delph throws himself in front of but Banton dummies it and sprints into the box where he can slip the ball under Viviano for what surely is the winning goal!

AST – Gardner (90’)
Aston Villa pour up the field and a one-two with Libor Kozák allows Gary Gardner to flick the ball around the keeper and into the far post from a tight angle. Of course...

Our Best Performer: Kwabena Appiah

Barclays Premier League Match:

West Ham 1 – Exeter City 2

Exeter City have only got one point in their last four games.

EXE – Appiah (9’)
Van Nieff takes a corner from the right and aims for the near post. It’s exactly where Kwabena Appiah wants it and he scrambles in front of his marker to head the ball past Adrián.

WES –Carroll (11’)
Diego Poyet should really tackle Andy Carroll but he allows him to play a one-two with Matt Jarvis to be through on goal and aid the ball past Jonathan Bond for a quick equaliser.

EXE – Appiah (16’)
Leo Chambers passes back to Adrián but Appiah comes out of nowhere to poke the ball past the keeper and across the line and that makes it two-one to Exeter.

Our Best Performer: Jonathan Bond (13 Saves)

Exeter City’s Player of the Month:
Kwabena Appiah

Barclays Premier League’s Top Goalscorers

1. Exeter City – Kwabena Appiah (23 Goals)

2. Spurs – Emmanuel Adebayor (19 Goals)

3. Manchester City – Negredo (16 Goals)

Youth Academy:

Aaron Davis (United States) 16 years old 70-74 OVR 87-93 POT
- This 5’10 right-footer looks to be an amazing striker. His best attributes are his heading accuracy, shot power, finishing and ball control. This physically strong youth player should be the real deal once he joins the ranks of the senior team.

Danny Winnard (United States) 16 years old 62-66 OVR 81-87 POT
- Danny Winnard is a midfielder playmaker who’s left-footed and stands at 6’0. He’s looking at being a very well-rounded player with a range of passing stats, good vision and formidable long shots.
* Denotes a new graduate

Manager’s Thoughts:

It was a pretty disappointing start to the month before finishing with a solid win. The first two games against Manchester City and Liverpool were understandable due to them being formidable clubs who have amazing players.

We’ve had a lack of form at the back this month and it has been extremely difficult to keep them in shape. It has been way too easy for the opposition to pop the ball over the defence for one of their players. We need a world class defender which is what I’ve decided to focus on in the summer transfer window next season. (Any suggestions? Bearing in mind that it will be 2018)

Our last three games of the season look promising and I’m hoping that we go out with a bang for some conciliation for dropping a few places in the league table.

May’s Games:
Swansea City (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Hull City (H)

* Denotes a cup game

Career Record (W: D :L): 143-34-28

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

FC Terek Grozny
The Chechens

January 2014 - Transfer Window

Transfers In

ST Nikita Burmistrov, 67 Ovr, Russia, 24 years old
(Purchased from Anzhi Makhachkala for
€775,000)

Nikita Burmistrov comes to us from Anzhi, and the 24-year-old will get a chance to establish himself as our top striker. He was a reserve player for Anzhi this season, appearing in 4 games with 0 goals and 1 assist. He is happy to have a chance at 1st team playing time with Terek Grozny.

CM Pavel Mogilevets, 57 Ovr, Russia, 21 years old
(Purchased from Zenit St. Petersburg for
€350,000)

Pavel Mogilevets is a player that could develop into a starting midfielder in the coming years. He was struggling to get playing time at league giants Zenit St. Petersburg as he is yet to appear in a match this season, but he will have more of an opportunity with Terek Grozny. Mogilevets will be placed in the reserve squad, but will see playing time.

LB Dzhamaldin Khodzhaniyazov, 63 Ovr, Russia, 17 years old
(Purchased from Zenit St. Petersburg for
€375,000)

Dzhamaldin Khodzhaniyazov is a promising left back that also arrives from Zenit St. Petersburg. He was born in Turkmenistan, but has represented Russia at the youth level and thus counts as a Russian player. Despite only being 17-years-old, Khodzhaniyazov will compete with Dmitriy Yatchenko for Terek's starting left back position.

ST Artur Sarkisov, 67 Ovr, Armenia, 27 years old
(Purchased from FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast for
€1.4 million)

Artur Sarkisov was born in Grozny, but represents Armenia at the international level. He is a very versatile player as he can play at striker or in the attacking midfield. He was a reserve player at newly promoted FC Ural, but is Terek Grozny's biggest signing at
€1.4 million. Sarkisov has 3 appearances this season with 1 goal. He will also compete for a starting spot.

Transfers Out

CB Antonio Ferreira, 67 Ovr, Brazil, 29 years old
(Sold to Hellas Verona for
€425,000)

Antonio Ferreira was one of Terek Grozny's starting center backs, appearing in 12 games this season. He became disgruntled with his wages and demanded a pay increase. Already being 29-years-old, Terek felt a raise wasn't in store for him, so he was instead transfer listed and sold to Italian Serie A club Hellas Verona.

RW Stanislav Murikhin, 62 Ovr, Russia, 22 years old
(Sold to FC Rostov for
€675,000)

Terek Grozny weren't planning on selling reserve winger Stanislav Murikhin, but FC Rostov made The Chechens an offer they couldn't refuse. Murikhin was sold for
€675,000, more than twice his market value. After only appearing in 2 games for Terek, the young Russian should get more of a chance at Rostov.
