I am very confused as to what just happened. Sneak preview!
Sounds to me like you gave Simp an offer he couldn't refuse. Way to go man! Deal of The Year right there. Looking forward to seeing who will replace Mignolet!
Edit: Oops never mind. I see it now!
Edit2: Wait you sold Mignolet twice?! What kind of deals are you making this transfer window? Starting to smell like fish to me..... *dramatic music plays*

I know. This window was mad. Essentially, what happened with Mignolet was the same thing that happened with Krul in my Newcastle career if you remember. I offered Migs + £4 mil for Leno, and at the same time Napoli put an offer in that I couldn't refuse. They ended up both going through at the same time, leaving me with Leno for £4 mil, Napoli with Migs and Bayer with no-one.
Have no idea what happened with Otamendi. My bid was £26.5 million. Went through for nothing.
When I do my update I will just put Leno for £4 million to save the complicated explanation.
Sevilla FC 3 - 3 CA Osasuna SEV: Quaresma 30' Rabello 67' De Jong 90' OSA: Guillermo 50' 74' Lopez 90'
Osasuna have only been able to gather 5 points in their last 5 matches before Sevilla and they came out hoping to change their poor league form. Unfortunately for them, they met a Sevilla determined to get into a Champions League spot and we were treated to an amazing match of football. Quaresma started the scoring 30 minutes into the match with a wonderfully curved free kick that left Rodriguez standing on his line. The match was so tight that neither team could get a shot on goal during open play. Five minutes into the second half Jose Campaña played a through ball to Guillermo who put in a powerful shot on goal and equalized the match!
Igor Akinfeev had gotten a touch on the ball but it wasn't enough to send the ball out and it bounced into the net behind him. Rabello would put Sevilla back in the lead in the 67th minute, but seven minutes later Guillermo would equalize again! Isma Lopez sent Guillermo a through ball from the left wing and once he entered the box Guillermo took a powerful low shot on goal that sneaked into the net from in between Akinfeev's legs!
The match became even more exciting now as both teams went all out attack looking for the lead. At the 90th minute Luis Martinez, second half sub, stole the ball in his defensive third and sprinted up the pitch. Martinez isn't very fast, but next to Sevilla's tired players he was flying! The fans got on their feet as they noticed that Martinez had just started a 4 on 1 counter attack with Palacios, Guillermo, Lopez, and himself all pushing in attack against only one Sevilla defender. He waited for the defender to come out to pressure him and then lobbed the ball to Guillermo. Guillermo felt Sevilla's players catching up so without hesitation he headed the ball to Isma Lopez. Lopez dribbled into the box one on one with Akinfeev. He couldn't miss, he absolutely could not miss this chance and he didn't! Lopez took a smooth shot on goal with his inside foot that beat the world class keeper Akinfeev!
We thought it was all over, we were even getting ready to end the transmission when not even a minute later Sevilla's De Jong took a strong shot from the edge of the box and equalized the match at 3-3. Chavez just stood on the sideline shaking his head. Could Osasuna's luck get any worse lately?
CA Osasuna 1 - 1 Real Madrid OSA: Guillermo 2' REA: Lewandowski 45'
Just two minutes had passed by and we were already celebrating the first goal. Guillermo had stolen the ball in his attacking third and since Sergio Ramos did not come out to pressure him he took a long shot on goal which soared into the top corner of the net past Iker Casillas' dive.
An outstanding goal even more so because of the opponent. Real Madrid pushed hard for the equalizer and finally achieved it right before the halftime whistle with Robert Lewandowski striking the ball into the back of the net from inside the box. Real Madrid had everything to take the lead in the second half as they were definitely the better side on the field and had Osasuna against the wall. Jose Antonio Rodriguez was named MOTM with 8 saves, and was the main reason why Osasuna were able to at least take a point from the match.
Champions League - Final CA Osasuna vs PSG
Finally, the match we've been waiting for all season. Wembley Stadium will be the battlefield as these two teams go head to head for Europe's throne. We weren't expecting neither of these teams to reach the final, but PSG have world class quality in their lineup with the likes of Ibrahimovic, Lavezzi (the hero of the semifinal), Varane, Thiago, and the former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea. On the other side Osasuna have an inspired Guillermo who is considered Spain's up and coming star striker of the future, and a team that has played with heart and overcame all odds. From just barely surviving the group stage to humiliating Barcelona, this team has proven that they cannot be underestimated and they plan to win their second consecutive European title in this, their first ever Champions League participation.

Champions League - Final CA Osasuna 3 - 2 PSG PSG: Lavezzi 18' Ibrahimovic 45' OSA: Guillermo 42' Davila 60' Guillermo 87'
We have just witnessed a match for the history books as Osasuna have won their first ever Champions League the first time the club has ever participated in the competition! Unbelievable! The match started off very balanced as it was expected with neither team risking too much. Eighteen minutes into the match PSG put a hand on the cup with Lavezzi taking advantage of a loss of focus from Osasuna during a corner kick and he put the French in the league. The ball bounced before going into the net and it looked like Grimaldo was going to reach it before it crossed the line but he just barely missed it. The rest of the first half was nail biting as it could have gone either way, but the Basques finally had a reason to jump up and celebrate in the 42nd minute. Jose Campaña noticed Guillermo making a run between the centre backs and lobbed the ball to him. Guillermo kept Varane on his shoulder, took a touch to bring the ball down and then smoothly finished the play with his inside foot. De Gea was unable to reach the ball and it was all level again!
Hands off the cup! We still had a game to play here! At least that was the message for approximately three minutes until Zlatan Ibrahimovic volleyed the ball into the net right before the halftime whistle and put PSG back in the lead. The pressure was all on Chavez again but once again Jose Campaña showed off his playmaking skills to put Osasuna back in the game. Campaña anticipated Ulises Davila's inside run from the right wing and sent him a through ball to the box. We were at the edge of our seats wondering if Davila would be able to get to the ball first before De Gea but he did and without thinking twice about it took a first time shot into the bottom corner. Osasuna had equalized!!
The fans were ecstatic but with Osasuna's recent luck nothing was settled yet. It looked like we were going to extra time since neither team was really pushing for the winner. Then, Guillermo made history. Roberto Torres passed the ball to Guillermo who shielded the ball and then managed to get around Varane. He didn't have an angle to shoot but he tried it anyway and his left footed shot beat De Gea!! We couldn't believe it!!
Even Chavez celebrated that goal, and just like that Osasuna were champions. From being 2-1 down at halftime to turning it to 3-2 at full time, Osasuna were lifting the cup!!

Antonio Lopes - LB (Spain) (58-62, 78-84) (+19): Lopes is the first and only LB in the academy and of course the club has high hopes as it is a position that the senior team lacks depth in. The current first team LB is Sisi who is naturally a RM and is reaching his mid thirties. Lopes is only 15 and stands at 5'2" but is described as a Winger, which leads us to believe that he will be an attacking fullback.
*Chris Cropper - GK (United States) (63-67, 79-85) (+1): Departed club after his request to be promoted was not granted.
Ivan Miranda - LW (Spain) (66-70, 81-87) (+2): The 17 year old has decided that the wing is where he is most comfortable with, and is a candidate for promotion in the future. He is quite short, standing at 5'9", but that isn't a problem since we will need him for speed not necessarily for his aerial ability.
*Jorge Asenjo - ST (Spain) (62-66, 81-87) (+10): Player has unexpectedly left the youth academy.

Quinti Renews Contract
LB Xavi Quinti (71 OVR) signed a 4 year contract with Osasuna in Chavez's first season and then spent 3 seasons on loan at other clubs. He returned this season, the last year on his contract, with the opportunity of finally showing himself with the B-Team. The staff had already told him his contract would not be reviewed until the end of the season, and the young left back worked hard to get a permanent offer. His determination over the years has finally paid off and he has been offered a new 4 year contract with a big pay raise for him, going from $1,000 per week to $25,000 per week, and also an improved squad role going from Sporadic First Team Player to Squad Rotation Player. The kid has a bright future and Chavez is glad to have him stay.
No Vacation For Chavez
Chavez continues to make history with Osasuna, now by winning the Champions League title, but he won't have much time to enjoy it as he has another huge challenge coming up: the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He is expected to announce his final squad list for Mexico soon and after Mexico's recent Friendlies there are a lot of doubts among the supporters. Mexico has been drawn in Group B with some tough competition. This is how the group stands:
FIFA World Cup - Group B
1. Spain - 0 points
2. Hungary - 0 points
3. Mexico - 0 points
4. Uruguay - 0 points
Conclusion
Finally, the end of the season. I think this season has taken me longer to complete than the past three, but it's finally over and I'm extremely happy to have won the Champions League. What's funny is that I've won the Europa League and the Champions, but I have yet to win a domestic title. I completely fell off the race for the league title this year and I'm still dealing with ghosts in the Copa Del Rey. The end of the season was brutal, I honestly felt like the game was purposely making life impossible for me, and I hope that doesn't carry over to the World Cup.
I've started to scout for potential transfer targets but so far I only have one in mind: a replacement for Isma Lopez. Yep, our very own Basque wide man. Nothing against the fella, it's just that Keano here has him by default at Sporting Gijon, and also I want to mix it up a little. Christian Tello has been on my wish list ever since I started this career, but I'm hesitant about making an offer for him since he's at Barcelona the current league champs. You know I don't like poaching off the competition! Therefore, I will be searching the Liga Adelante teams for a winger. I already have one in mind, but any recommendations are welcome!
The Youth Academy had a mutiny this month with our boys rebelling against us and many of them departing. I promoted three initially (Santana, Garcia, Soriano) then the RB Ramirez demanded a call up and I obliged since I don't have any other RB in the academy, and then a bunch of other players began to demand a call up which is when I put my foot down. Chavez ain't taking any of that crap! So, my academy has reduced significantly with only about 3 notable players left. Looks like youth scouting will resume next season!
Well, that's it for this update and for the season. I want to thank you guys for sticking by me through all these matches and reading the updates. You guys are the reason I'm still posting, and I hope I can finally give you guys a league title next season! I will be posting a detailed squad review soon and don't forget we have the World Cup coming up! Until then, Thanks For Reading!

Wow! Unbelievable result, I can't believe you won it in your first season. And it wasn't like you had an easy run through the cup either. Guillermo, who else, popping up and winning it in the dying minutes. Well done!
Burnley 1-2 Liverpool Vokes 25
Balotelli 45
Balotelli 74
Vokes gave Burnley an unexpected lead, firing in on the rebound from 6 yards after Kightly somehow hit the post from the same distance. Heaton was soon forced into a good save, Sturridge's shot taking a deflection off of Balotelli that almost caught the keeper out. We equalised when Sturridge put a floating ball in and the unmarked Balotelli was able to head home. We got the lead when Balotelli slid the ball home from Sturridge's powerful, low ball across goal. Sturridge had an opportunity for himself late on, firing inches wide on the half volley.
League Cup Semi Final Leg 1
Manchester United 0-1 Liverpool Kovacic 61
This match was unbelievably dull. United were set up to not concede, and ended up having 0 shots and we only had 2, one of which went miles wide. The other, a low drive by Kovacic that took a slight deflection to find the bottom corner.
A Keeper In, A Keeper Out
Liverpool FC have signed Germany U21 international and Bayer Leverkusen number 1 goalkeeper, Bernd Leno, for a bargain deal of £4 million. The young man has already set himself up to be among the best in the world, and will be even better as he ages. Leno had this to say, "It is incredible to be joining a team like Liverpool. They may not have had much recent success, but to be joining a club with their history and stature, it is one of the best feelings ever. I know I will have to work hard due to the more physical nature of the Premier League, but I will make sure to try my best and show the fans I am what the club needed." Leno will be ineligible for Champions League football as he has played for Leverkusen.
Meanwhile, Belgium international Simon Mignolet has departed for £18 million to Napoli, making him the 8th most expensive keeper of all time. Despite being the joint leader in clean sheets, the manager has been unimpressed with his shaky displays in important games, and was ready to cash in. Mignolet said "I am happy to be joining Napoli, where I can seek a new challenge and make a new reputation in a different country. I would like to thank all the staff at Liverpool for sticking with me through difficult spells, but now I must look on to a new chapter in my career."
Match 21
Aston Villa 0-0 Liverpool
This was an incredibly dull game. Sturridge had the first chance, rounding the keeper before slicing wide as he was off balance. Benteke had a volley well saved by Leno before Borini fired just over the bar.
Pre-Contract Arrivals
Liverpool confirmed today that Manchester City midfielder, James Milner, will be joining the team for free on July 1st. The versatile Englishman will be coming in for depth across the midfield, experience in what will be a very young squad, and of course, his home grown status. He said "I am very happy to be joining Liverpool as they are a side that has lots of ambition and are developing youth. However, for now I have to focus on doing a job for Manchester City."
Also confirmed to be joining in July is Italian former youth international goalkeeper, Tommaso Berni. The Inter backup has been a backup for a number of high profile clubs, including Lazio, Braga and Sampdoria. He spent the majority of his career in the Italian second and third divisions and will be joining as a third choice keeper and a powerful dressing room figure. When asked for a comment he said "I am absolutely delighted to get a chance to experience the Premier League, especially for a team like Liverpool. I know I will only be a backup, but I hope to be able to get some game time for the club."
Match 22
Sunderland 1-0 Liverpool Defoe 77 (PEN)
There weren't many chances that really tested the keepers in this game. Skrtel came close with a powerful header that was just tipped over the bar. Alvarez fired wide for Sunderland after beating 3 defenders before Leno made a decent save to stop Defoe. Defoe broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after a rash tackle by Keita, to give Sunderland the win.
League Cup Semi Final Leg 2
Liverpool 2-1 Manchester United (3-1 agg) Balotelli 27 (PEN)
Balotelli 76 (PEN)
Di Maria 84
Balotelli opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Sterling was fouled by Shaw in the box. Leno made 2 excellent saves to deny Rooney and Di Maria before Sturridge fired inches wide from distance. Balotelli then scored another penalty after Smalling brought Sterling to ground. Di Maria pulled one back late on, firing in after some excellent passing, but it was too little, too late. We're going to Wembley!!
Another Keeper!
England Under-21 and Stoke goalkeeper, Jack Butland, has joined Liverpool for a £5.5 million fee. The young Englishman has been brought in as backup for Bernd Leno and will be used as the first choice goalkeeper in the Champions League as Leno is ineligible. He said "I have made it. I am now playing for a top club, it has always been the dream. And I will be starting in the Champions League, it is a dream come true!"
FA Cup Round 4
Liverpool 3-0 Wolves Allen 28

1 in, 4 out on Deadline Day
An unbelievable deal went through today, Argentina international Nicolas Otamendi signed for Liverpool from Valencia, for £0. Some are saying something serious must have happened at Valencia, others that Otamendi bought out his own contract, and others saying some shady business has gone on. The Argentine has been brought in to sure up the back, and said "I am here to do my job. I am happy to play for Liverpool. I am going to dominated the opposition. You will be happy to have me."
Going the way out of Liverpool, Jose Enrique joined Southampton for £2.4 million, Brad Jones went on loan to Sheffield Wednesday, Lucas Leiva went to Fiorentina for £5.5 million and Martin Skrtel went to Bayern for £8.5 million.

Portsmouth FC 1 - 0 Arsenal FC POR - Wallace 15'
MOTM: Wallace
Ramsey was shown a yellow card early after a poor challenge, but the ensuing free kick went wide by Shorley. Koscielny missed trapping the ball off a pass from Barcham and it went through straight into the path of Wallace and he was able to slot the ball under the keeper for the only goal of the match. Not long after Ramsey made another poor tackle and was shown his second yellow, completely changing the rest of the match by sending Arsenal down 1 man, helping to even out their talent advantage over their League 2 opponents. Several chances throughout the remainder of the match for both sides, but in the end the whistle was blown and one of the most incredible underdog stories was complete as Portsmouth lifted the trophy and began their celebrations.
Sounds to me like you gave Simp an offer he couldn't refuse. Way to go man! Deal of The Year right there. Looking forward to seeing who will replace Mignolet!
.
Really? We are doing this again? Tbh I wouldn't mind it as it was big fun last time. I'm not entirely sure what happened but I heard that Valencia's chairman is sleeping with the fishes now. Also, huge congratulations on the CL title! You had a marvelous cup run!
Also, Jamie, I'm sure Otamendi will be amazing foe you. At least he's great for me.
Also, I checked some of my old squad reviews and in Fifa 14 Thomas Müller scored 66 goals in 49 games for Hertha. That's even better than Kalou's 43, 44 or 45 league goals!
Man that Chelsea match was headed in Arsenal's direction. There was even that heartbreaking music again. You turned it around really nice though and took the win although Chelsea really had you against the wall. I thought Dybala would have a bigger impact on the match given his recent form against Arsenal but I hardly saw anything from him. Wickham was on fire though! I was worried every time the ball would get near Leno but the German wanted to leave in somewhat good terms. The move back to Germany sounds realistic, and you have yourself an outstanding replacement too. Looking forward to De Gea's debut. He wasn't the starter at United anymore?
Yeah, I thought I would use the music to throw a little wrench into the viewer's head before the epic comeback! Wickham has been tearing it up, which is awesome because it takes some of the load off of Dybala who had really been carrying our team up to that point, so it's good to know we can get some clutch goals from elsewhere. As for De Gea, he was the backup at United having played just 11 BPL games (with 2 clean sheets) of their 23 total BPL matches, and hadn't played at all in any of the cup competitions (Europa, C1C, or FA), so I'm sure he's more than happy to move away from Manchester!!!
Also, Chico CONGRATS on winning the Champions League! You went on an incredible run through the tournament, and like you said it is crazy how you won it before even picking up a La Liga trophy! Crazy to score such a late winner as well, you must have been going nuts!

WHAT A WIN! More silverware around this thread... *OPRAH VOICE* "YOU GET SILVERWARE, YOU GET SILVERWARE, EVERYONE GETS SILVERWARE!" Haha, what a bit of good fortune to get that goal, but you looked value for money the rest of the way and could have had a couple more honestly. Congrats on your second trophy of hopefully many to come!
