They both feel really good to use, Akpom hardly gets knocked off the ball and Boateng feels so fluid and can pass well. They are definitely for the future.

Also don't you hate it when a player is injured and he declines in stats, especially a youth player in physicals as they might never get them back and they have poor ones to begin with anyway!
Sounds great! I never set any instructions for him out on the left. If you really wanted to give him some I'd say that if you're playing him in the LW position, you should try out 'cut inside' (for chance creation) and 'get in behind' (for support runs) as that plays right into his ball park with his strength and speed. But as i said, I didn't give him any instructions and he played really well for me! For a long while, he played at LM for me instead of LW too.

Akpom and Boateng were players I offered bids for to actually. It sounds like I'd missed out on not pursuing them further though. (if i remember correctly, Crystal Palace and Arsenal did want more than what you paid for them though.)

I understand what you're saying there! Since gaining a broken toe, Conor Compton has -1 in each of his physical stats and I'm worried that he won't be able to get them back if they keep going down!

ALSO: I had a quick look and I sold Jamie Reid for £260,000 to Shrewsbury late into my second season!

I'll try both out, thanks!

I think that the amounts they want for players changes each season/window. For example, in Season 1 Southampton only wanted £20k for Jake Sinclair but when I asked this window they said £300k. Just depends on what time you get them I suppose!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Olympique de Marseille

November 2015

We started the month with a 3-1 homewin against FK Austria in the Europa League. Austria took the lead but a Gignac brace and a single Alessandrini goal were enough to secure the win. After that we faced the 2012 Ligue 1 champions Montpellier in a league game which ended in a 2-0 win for us thanks to Alessandrini and Niang. A week later we traveled to Monaco (who apparently have a a sold-out stadium and great atmosphere according to the commentators). The game was very fast-paced but both defences were on top of their game and the match finished in a goalless draw. Then we beat Saint-Etienne 2-0 at home and we finished the month with a trip to Corsica where we beat Bastia 3-0 with the help of goals by Gignac and Niang. Going into December we have 10 points in the Europa League and we are through to the knock-out stages. In the league we are in first place.

December 2015

December started off with a 2-1 win at home against Nantes. Our next game, a Europa League match against Rosenborg, was played only two days later with one day inbetween the two games. The game finished 1-1, just like the first fixture between the two teams. Then we travelled to Reims and beat Stade Reims 2-1 thanks to Gignac and Alessandrini's goals. After that we beat Guingamp 3-0 with Rekik, Alessandrini and Sougou getting a goal each. After a day's rest we faced Dijon in the Coupe de Ligue round of 16 and we got a tough 1-0 win. Our next opponent in the cup will be Evian Thonon. Once again we had only one day to prepare for the next game as we faced Bursaspor in a pointless Europa League game. We dominated them and had 14 shots with Gignac and Niang hitting the net twice and once respectively. We will play against Ajax Amsterdam in the first knockout stage game. Three days later we played our first "Choc des Olympiques" at home against our bitter rival Olympique Lyon and we beat them 2-0 after Alessandrini and Niang scored. That was our last game of the year as we're getting ready for the transfer window.

* Speaking of the Choc des Olympiques, I found this on it's Wikipedia site:

"
Marseille and Lyon (along with Saint-Étienne) are the only French clubs to have won the French first division four straight times with Marseille doing it on two occasions, once when the Death Star was destroyed, and the other when Vader fell down the shaft." *

Europa League Group

1. Olympique de Marseille, 14 pts
2. Bursaspor, 9 pts
3. Rosenborg, 8 pts
4. FK Austria, 3 pts

Ligue 1 Table

1. Olympique de Marseille, 47 pts
2. Stade Rennais, 37 pts
3. Paris Saint-Germain, 36 pts
4. Olympique Lyon, 34 pts
5. OGC Nice, 33 pts
6. Toulouse FC, 30 pts
----------------------------------------------
18. FC Metz, 17 pts
19. LOSC Lille, 16 pts
20. Nancy, 12 pts

Press Conference

When you took over Marseille finished fifth in the league. Only six months later you're a serious title contender and ten points clear of second-placed Rennais. How do you explain these big changes?

First of all, and with all respect to Marcelo (Bielsa), I'm an exceptionally good manager and I know what I'm doing. My tactics have showed that they work very well and the signings I completed have been also mainly successful. Just look how Capoue is dominating the midfield or how Romain Alessandrini has become one of the best players in the league thanks to my tactical changes.

What are your chances of winning the title?

I think our chances are huge. We are only halfway through the season and we are already leading by 10 points. Marseille will be finally back where they belong: top of France.

You also progressed in the cup and in Europa League.

That is true. Luckily we have two cups here in France so we won't need to take the first one that seriously. Europa League and the domestic league are our priorities this season and I can see us winning both of the competitions. Ajax don't stand a chance against us if we play the way we've been playing lately.

The transfer window is here. What players will you be looking to sign?

Paul-Georges Ntep and Florian Thauvin have received criticism for not getting many assists or goals. Will you be addressing this issue?

It is true that the two haven't been performing too well, which also resulted in Sougou becoming a starter, but I believe in the two and they are doing lots of hard work. Thank you for your questions.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

Akpom seems to be a popular lower league striker here and I think that he'll bag a solid amount of goals for you, too. The promoted players look solid, as well. You should get promoted automatically at the end of the season.

Man, your strikers are in amazing form! When Sanogo doesn't score, Benzia scores. When Benzia doesn't score, Sanogo scores. It was a great month apart from the Lille loss but you're still leading your group. If you continue playing this way you could win the title!

In my opinion that was a very good month! Yes, you dropped a few points but you beat Juve of all teams and you lost to Roma only because of a last minute goal. You're just two points away from a CL spot which is also very good. It's great to see that Bernardeschi is becoming better and better. Like Tex said, he could become a club legend.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

FIFA 15 – Season 6 (19/20)
The Grecians

November

Premier League Match (02/11)
Exeter City
3-2
Chelsea

Benzia 16’ (Cedrick)
Benzia 49’ (Cedrick)
Ward-Prowse 78’ (Dembèlè)
Azpilicueta 41’
Fàbregas 77’

MOTM : James Ward-Prowse (7.6)

· If we beat Chelsea then we would go top of the table.

· With the likes of Grimaldo, Sanogo, Compton and Sergio Rodríguez out, we were always going to have problems in this game.

· We had been on a two game winning streak against Chelsea so we had higher hopes than usual.

· The pace of our front four was causing Chelsea all sorts of problems and a low Cedrick cross allowed Benzia to sneak the ball under Cech for the first goal of the game.

· Azpilicueta and Hazard linked up well for the former to slide the ball into the far corner from close range but four minutes after half time, Exeter answers back with an identical goal to their first to once again, put themselves into the lead.

· Chelsea get an extremely lucky goal as Sergio Aguero’s shot hit the post and rolled straight into the path of Cesc Fàbregas to tapped the ball across the line.

· We answer back straight away as we win a free-kick around 30 yards out. Ward-Prowse bends the ball up and over the wall and the technique is good enough to take it out of reach for Cech to make the score 3-2.

EL Group Stage Match (07/11)
Standard Liège
1-2
Exeter City

Mpoku (p) 55’
Sercombe 33’
Hutchinson 55’
Bangoura 82’

MOTM : Michael Terzi (8.5)

· We started off slowly with Standard pressurising us and forcing us to make mistakes.

· We scored after a mix up in the Liège defence which allowed Sercombe to slot the ball home against the run of play.

· Twenty minutes later, Shaun Hutchinson gave a penalty away and once again got a red card.

· The penalty smacked the underside of the crossbar before crossing the line.

· Cedrick’s shot rebounded of the keeper for Bangoura to stretch and poke the ball through the blanket of defenders to score the crucial winning goal.

Premier League Match (09/11)
Manchester City
2-2
Exeter City

Eriksen 26’
Hiwula 60’
Benzia 38’
Benzia 89’ (Weale)

MOTM : Yassine Benzia (7.7)

· Cedrick’s cross into the box is parried by Joe Hart but Benzia pounces on the rebound and goal line technology deems it a goal which levels the score after an Eriksen free kick.

· Hiwula turns Marchesín and bests Terzi at his near post.

· With one minute left, Benzia breaks into the box and smashes the ball past Joe Hart at his near post.

Premier League Match (13/11)
Exeter City
2-1
Everton

Benzia 6’ (Sanogo)
Magallán 66’ (Sanogo)
Oviedo 68’

MOTM : Yaya Sanogo (8.6)

· Benzia pounced onto a great cross by Sanogo to give Exeter the lead.

· Magallán then added to the score line to get his first goal for the club.

· Oviedo responded with a long range goal but Exeter held out to be the Premier League’s top team.

Premier League Match (23/11)
West Ham
1-2
Exeter City

R. Morrison 74’
Sanogo 8’ (Byram)
Benzia 86’ (Bangoura)

MOTM : Michael Terzi (8.1)

· All injured players are back and healthy for this game so Compton, Rodríguez and Grimaldo start after lengthy absences.

· A surprisingly easy goal comes from a cross by Sam Byram and Sanogo is in acres of space to head the ball into the back of the net.

· Ravel Morrison equalises with a lobbed header but a cross by Bangoura in the dying minutes allows Benzia to tap the ball into the open goal for the winner.

Nathan Aké has suffered a Bruised Elbow and will be out for 8 days

Conor Compton has suffered a Sprained Ankle and will be out for 3 weeks

Premier League Match (30/11)
Exeter City
1-1
Liverpool

Sanogo 33’ (Magallán)
Henderson 12’
Hummels 26’

MOTM : Simon Mignolet (9.7) (10 Saves)

· Henderson poked home from close range while Sanogo scores a scorcher from outside the box but they both still only count as one.

· We still haven’t lost the Premier League so far!

Press Conference

Alan Smith told the nation during your game against West Ham that your bubble could burst at any moment. What do you have to say to that statement?

I wouldn’t say we have any ‘bubble’. I admit, we might not have been expected to be in this position at the start of the season but our performances have proved to all the pundits and fans that we have quality and that we can compete with last year’s champions.

What has been the key to your success so far this season?

There are many reasons for our great performances. We have a lot more depth this season, which allows us to cope with the fixtures that are coming thick and fast; especially this month where we have a landslide of games to play. We also have more quality within our ranks after our antics in the transfer window that has really improved our game.

You’ve beaten Chelsea for the third time in a row. What do you have to say about last year’s Champions?

We’re becoming a better team than them. We have a solid unit and each player knows the ins-and-outs of their opponents and their team mates. We are becoming a top team and our tactics obviously hinder their play because usually they’re an unstoppable force.

Big News of the Month:

- Commentator, Alan Smith, told Martin Tyler during the West Ham game last week that Exeter City’s ‘bubble could burst’ if put under enough pressure at the top of the table but also remarked that there’s no reason why they can’t be aiming for the title.

- Simon Mignolet has been in the team of the week three times in a row.

- Arsène Wenger told the media that James Ward-Prowse is ‘one to study’ and implied his interest of buying the 25-year-old.

- Bee is obviously not leaving Exeter City but this still hasn’t stopped the under achieving Manchester City, to offer him a three year contract with a huge pay rise included.

- Bee told the media in his latest press conference that his Exeter City team is ‘better than Chelsea’s’.

- Yaya Sanogo is expected to play against his old side, Arsenal, for the first time in their clash with Exeter City in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.

Exeter defender Shaun Hutchinson looks to have fallen out of favour after picking up two red cards in a row in the Europa League.

Club Awards

2017-18 Young Player of the Year: Bradford Jamieson IV

The award for the best player under the age of 23 goes to Bradford Jamieson IV. This marks the third straight season that the young forward has led the team in scoring while scoring 20 or more in each of those seasons. His has proven to be a consistent goal scorer since joining the club, and the supporters will be hoping that his form can carry over to the Premier League now.

2017-18 OS Community Player of the Year: Marlon Pack

In our closest voting yet, Marlon Pack came out once again as the player of the year as voted by the OS Community. All 4 candidates received votes this year, but the club Captain came out 1 vote ahead of the new man, Nadir Çiftçi, to take home his third straight award. He continues to be a goal scoring threat in the midfield, rivaling the forwards on the team, and his ability to set up his teammates has always separated him from the rest as well. The captain will be looking forward to leading the team into the Premier League next year.

Unbeaten in the two months is solid play! Alessandrini and Niang have been your inspiration in attack and Gignac has chipped in with goals two. Good luck against Ajax, you should beat them comfortably. A 10 point lead going into the second half of the season is a good cushion to have. I'm looking forward to another of your transfer windows! Nice press conference too btw.

Good month with Sanogo and Benzia in top form setting up goals and scoring them too. You are well up there with Chelsea and should progress out of your Europa League group too. Keep it going!

Next month, you're now level with Chelsea and Arsenal, it's really tight up there from 1st to 5th! Europe is going well and with the form you are in right now and with the squad you have built I see a double come the end of the season!

The month started very well with clean sheets and wins but you kind of stuttered a little in the middle of the month. Losing to a last minute goal is a terrible feeling but it shows how far the team has come that you are pushing the likes of Roma all the way and even beating Juve! Like others have said Bernardeschi can become a cult hero of this career and of Bologna in years to come. You're sitting in a good place in 5th and are well able to make a run into the top 4 at least.

25 points was a massive gap! You went deep in both cup competitions, ultimately losing to solid, top 6 Prem sides which is no disaster, and that shows how good a squad you have. Çiftçi and Jamieson banged in the goals up front and with Pack and Russell in midfield providing that spark. Your keepers and defence were also solid throughout. Top job! Pack winning the Player of the Year for the 3rd year straight shows how good he is! Nearly 20 goals from midfield is a massive tally, Frank Lampard like.
