AFC Wimbledon - For The Fans

The preseason has just came to a close and it was not a pretty one. AFC Wimbledon lost their first 2 preseason matches (2-1 each) and were barely able to win their last match 1-0. Christian Jolley was able to get on the scoresheet in the last match, but Danny Kedwell was unable to score in the 2 matches he played. He played decently, not bad performances but also didn't stand out. Chavez experimented between his usual 5-4-1 and a 5-3-2, but neither seemed to work. We're used to seeing Wimbledon play great, attacking football while holding possession but in these three matches they were both outshot and outplayed.

The fans have responded really well to the newly promoted team though. Despite it only being preseason the Wimbledon fans have entered the stadium in higher numbers than last season. Some fans have shown to be worried going into the first Football League 1 game in the entire history of AFCW though, as the preseason was far from good.

And what a way to start the season, the draw has decided that the first Football League 1 game in all of AFC Wimbledon's history will be against none other than strongly hated rivals MK Dons. The fans are already tensing up the match through insults against the opposing fans, while Chavez heats up the match by declaring that MK Dons have a small time mentality.

A few weeks ago, MK Dons contacted AFC Wimbledon about their interest in signing Wimbledon striker/midfielder Jack Midson. AFC Wimbledon agreed to sit down and negotiate with MK Dons which surprised all of us. MK Dons made an offer of $200,000 for the player, but AFC Wimbledon responded that they would not accept a penny less than $100,000,000. Angered by the counter offer, the MK Dons representatives told Chavez that the negotiations were over, and left the room.

Jack Midson is expected to start in this Saturday's match. Let's see if he can live up to his MK Dons-specific price tag of one hundred million dollars!

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Hey all. I'm 9 games into my CM using liverpool. I'm positioned 9. With 11 points 3 Wins 2 draws 4 lose. Manchester city have is on top of the table with 22 points and 0 lose, how I'm going to close them up ? I've no idea *Sigh*. Last night I had one of the most emotional rollercosta game ever I played against West ham at anfield , having been 2 - 0 up by 20 minute they came back and raped me 2-3 by half time. I forth back and went up 4 - 3. By the 85th min they equalized once again to make it 4 - 4 (I felt like smashing my controller at this point because I concede each and every game. But in the 90th min I counter attacked, sterling from my half to their box and taking on two defenders making borini free on the far post I just sliped the ball and BORINI TAPED IN!!!! 5 - 4 FullTime I actually celebrated jumping up n down. One of the most frustrating thing iam en counting is that I'm conceding each & every game on a average of 1-4 Goals each game. I play with 4-1-2-1-2. Starting XI:

Mignolet
Johnson - Agger - Skrtel - Flanagan
Allen
Luis Alberto -- Henderson
Sterling
Sturridge -- Borini (Suarez only played one game the 1st of the season he got injured for 4 months he's been ****ed for 8 games). Well as for Luis alberto his playing for gerrard who recently got injured for 4 games.
Game difficult: Legendary
Game speed: Slow
Time: 15 minute
Orion sliders.

Recent Result:
Liverpool 5 - 4 West Ham
Liverpool 1 - 4 Southamptom
Newcastle 1 - 1 liverpool
Liverpool 3 - 1 Manchester united
Tot'spurs 2 - 2 Liverpool
Liverpool 3 - 1 Coventry city(spelling)

I play approximately 2 to 3 Games Per day (school sucks). Taking on manchester city in etihad (FA Cup) Can't wait

He's been great so far. Bagged some nice goals, but is leading my team in assists. My favorite part is his free kick ability. Already knocked in one with him.

Can't believe you got MK Dons as your first game of the season. The FIFA gods are smiling upon you.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Looking for some help. I'm conceding way too many goals, but it's annoying the way they are happening. A lot of them are the computer just slotting balls right past my back line and then their player outruns mine to the ball and I can't even get close enough to push them off the ball. And the other annoying way is headers that my defenders just get beat for.

Anyway, I just changed up my tactics so my back line drops deeper. Any other suggestions that could help? It is getting really annoying. I'll have a game where I can win 1-0 or draw 1-1, and then the next game ends up being like a 4-3 loss if not worse than that.

Lol mate. That's exactly what has been happening to me. I changed my formation playing with to 3 - 5 - 2. I've also played two games with "Ultra attack" I raped Fulham 4 - 2 at anfield. Next Match I played was against everton at their home ground. I won the game 4 - 1. I don't outscore the CPU without "Ultra attack". Not to forget that Steven pienaar missed glorious opportunities and was subsituated later. Lol what a fun game that was. I'll play another game before the portugal vs germany match . So I suggest going ultra attacking When u lead 2 3 up & when u they u see that they want to score change it to ultra defensive for the rest of the game.

Lol I hate that. So my choices are to either lead the league in goals by a huge margin, or concede the most goals in the league by a large margin.

I wish the game would allow a happy medium, but oh well. I guess I just need to keep at it and get better at this game. I can definitely feel to change in difficulty jumping from Liga Adelante to Liga BBVA.

Yes, you could do it that way but not necessarily. The only times I use "ultra attack" is when I'm down and it's the 80th minute. I use quick tactics a lot more and pair them up with those. For example, switch to "defensive" and select "possession" or switch to "attacking" and select "high press." I usually pair "attacking" with possession, but most of the time I'll leave it on "balanced" and just read the game. Like, if we're losing the midfield and the other team is easily winning the balls from me, I'll select "possession" so my players can calm down and make more short passes. If I'm completely of top of the other team but for some reason we just can't score, I'll switch to "high press" so my team pushes up together, creating more open spaces in attack. If we're dominating but we can't create anything in the attacking third, I'll use the "swap wings" to confuse their full backs a little bit.

Also, don't pull your centre backs out of position (if you're doing that.) Even with my line of 5 I've made the mistake of pulling my CB instead of making my RCB cut in and the opposing team will score by finding the open space. You can also try using the "man marking" option if your defenders have good marking stats, but I haven't tried that.
