Re: FIFA 16 OS Community Sliders
So, I'm now 5 games into my career with the 1.04 patch.
What do I think?
I mostly don't like this patch and I think EA fixed something that wasn't broken. Using the Malaga preseason tournament fixture as an example, you can still beat up on the CPU so I don't think that's a huge issue. It's the way the game feels that's bothersome. As Reaper put it when he was streaming, everything feels like it's on rails again (reminiscent of FIFA 15).
I do like that the midfield battles are more competitive, but I'm very concerned about the variety in play. All my games have felt the same. The CPU is quite literally indistinguishable from one club to the next. I have played against Derby County, Swansea, Crystal Palace, Chelsea, and now Malaga.
Every club felt the same. Their attacking, defending, high pressure tackling, EVERYTHING feels the same. To further this problem, I've also felt compelled to attack the CPU in the same way. I like the challenge of breaking down the CPU. As you'll note from the Malaga goals, I broke them down with wall passes and nicely weighted through balls. That's great, but wouldn't it be wonderful to score from a cross or from long distance? I don't ever do that anymore. Why? I can barely even get off my shots or crosses! Anyhow...
Patch 1.03 will probably go down in history as my favorite ever experience with FIFA. Now, with 1.04, I am definitely worried.
