I know that recently I removed one of the DCM's to use a CM higher on the pitch. Apparently, CPU os exploiting that so I may have to go back to my previous formation with two DM's.

Aye I use the two DM's in my side, using the 4-4-2 Holding formation. With an old school little and large partnership up front with Mitrovic and Dybala/Perez/Kenedy as my usual two up front. Allows some great play from my side.

Well I started using a 4-4-2 also, but with one of the strikers pushed down, to use a AMC instead in that position. I won the preseason tournament like that, so I don't even know why the heck did I remembered to change formation lol. Lesson learned.

I've heard people have had success with a single CDM... but only when there attacking work rates are LOW. Having tried it myself yet.

Getting holding midfielders to have tactical discipline has been one of my biggest pet peeves with FIFA for years now.

Glad someone else thinks World Class difficulty is messed up. I haven't quite been able to put my finger on why though. What are your thoughts on it?

I've the same experience but I think the explanation is pretty simple: defending against the CPU sucks, and when you go up on it, the CPU increases its attacking mentality, so defending sucks even more.
