De-shelved the game when I heard of this update, curiosity got the better of me, and I've had no gameplay freezes after installing the patch BUT I have switched to using no custom music. Remaining cautiously sceptical for now, seeing as the devs did not claim any freeze fix would be included in this one.

Hard to tell with these things and their mysterious placebo effects. I'd swear that more slapshots were going wide now, something I like, but I bet nothing has been changed that would cause this.

Three games between last night and this morning, and no freezes! Oh, man...it doesn't make sense because the patch wasn't supposed to address this but I'll take what I can get!

Same, although the "booming" checks seem to be gone. A bit more realistic/toned down, like you said.

The hipchecks are still in for single player/versus/HUT.

They were 'disabled' (still an animation, no effect at all) for EASHL ONLY.

false.. there is still an effect.. bumps guys off the puck still and depending on player weight and height you still at times see the player get knocked over.

its def not as bad, but its still there.. hopefully a patch fixes the issues and we can hip check like in nhl 11..

Another 4 games, and I'm still freeze free! Oh, happy day!
