The Leafs are nipping at my heels in the overall standings. The roster seems to project well in this game. They made it to the conference finals in year one, and look poised for a deep run again. They haven't really made many moves, but I think Reimer progressed to an 84.

Thought this was kinda interesting...

The Isles and Leafs are first and second overall in the league standings, 32 games into my GM mode. Me playing as the Wild....I'm 28th.

Still rocking the Wings same roster as 2 weeks ago. Just at the trade deadline and I'm 46-7-5 (on all star) Injury bug keeps biting. I lost Larsson for 2 weeks but now hes back. Big Bert was out for a bit and I learned I need him on that first line of else there is 0 presence in front of the net. Lost Ericsonn for 10 days as well. all three of those guys are back now. running away with the West 97pts. SJ is ls 15 back at 82.

I got stepan in a deal from the Rangers real early in the season for some meh picks. He has had really good season and I decided to throw him on the block Just to see what I could get. Ironically the Rangers have offered my their 1st pick in 2013 and 2014 for him and Tootoo. I'm really torn because I only have one top 2 round picks in the next 5 years (Bostons 1st round 2013 pick which looks like the 28th spot) NYR at this current moment look like a lock for a top 10 pick this year which adds some value to it.

The problem is I only have 3 C counting Stepan. I have Abs playing center just to have a 4th line grind line type. Not out there to put points on the board but make the other team regret stepping on the ice. What would you do? (Stepan and Tootoo for NYR 2013 (top10) and 2014 1st picks)

Note: I have a lot of money coming off the books and I plan on going wild in free agency and Stepan is in the last year of his deal. I had planned to resign him and just go the way of signing talent instead of developing like most do.

The goalie situation seems pretty grim outside of Malcolm Subban...

Anyone know at what point the game starts creating fake prospects?

Re: How's Your GM Mode going? NHL 13 Edition

New to the site but I've been an avid Be a GM player for years now. Always play with Colorado. I sim most games, sometimes simming the first two periods and jumping in to play the third/OT. I play Be a GM on hard and play games on All-Star. For this Be a GM, I've utilized Colorado's young talent, as well as spending a decent amount of the extra $$$, while building strongly through the draft. I just began my 2017-2018 season and am 3-0-0. My lines are as follows (LW-C-RW)

F
Landeskog 83 - Duchene 86 - Eberle 89
P. Sharp 85 - O'Reilly 83 - Parenteau 81
O. Moeller 78 - J. Rask 78 - Downie 80
D. Carcillo 76- E. Ling 77 - Z. Rabbit 75

D
Johnson 89 - Elliott 84
Siemens 84 - P. Subban 87
C. Baldwin 83 - K. Berglund 80

G
A. Roche 85
C. Pickard 83

Scratches
R. Talaja 76 LW
J. Schroeder 77 C
K. Lowe 79 D

Top Prospects
P. Prospal 64 C - 20 y/o 3.5 yellow stars
P. Evans 71 LW - 20 y/o 3.5 yellow stars
T. Saarinen 65 RW - 20 y/o 3.5 yellow stars
C. Skrlac 69 D - 20 y/o 3 yellow stars
E. Roy 65 D - 22 y/o 4 yellow stars
S. Hoggan 60 D - 19 y/o 3.5 yellow stars
G. Dunham 60 D - 21 y/o 3.5 yellow stars

E. Ling (4th line C) was a late 2015 2nd round pick, should be a solid NHLer for years. Z. Rabbit (4th line RW) was last 2016 2nd round pick, excellent tough guy with several 99 ratings already. A. Roche (starting G) was 1st overall pick in 2015. Traded up to land him, and he's already an 85 with 4.5 yellow stars potential.

I'll update later this season...look forward to hearing more about the moves that all of you guys make as well!

I drafted a 4.5-star-goalie after the first season. His name is Thibeau. At the start of the 2014 season he's 81 ovr, so I'm quite happy with his progression :-)
