Maxim Lapierre. Great third line center and PK player. You need one of him on every team as far as I'm concerned.

Zherdev. 90 speed, high 80's shooting attributes, but only a 74 overall. Grabner is a young tsllent who prgresses. Not right for this list in my opinion.

Lombardi from PHX and Helm from DET. Mainly for their speed and decently cheap contract.

Maxime Talbot. Such a great skater, on the game he plays like he is Claude Giroux Jr.

Jay McClement (Vancouver). Great 3rd/4th liner and PK guy. Excellent on faceoffs, and has a decent shot.

Manny Malholtra (also on Vancouver) fits a similair shutdown-center mold.

I think Michael Ryder is kind of underated. Average skater, but great shot. Good as an extra forward on the powerplay.

Darren Helm is an amazing skater. I also traded for Magnus Paajarvi, and he can really hit, even though all his attributes don't suggest that.

I traded for Kreider in my GM. Best move I've ever made. His offensive skills progress up to at least 4 1/2 and, because he's a PWF, he can hold his own in front of the net and the defensive end.

Year 1 he was 68 and played on my 3rd/4th line.
Year 2 he improved to 72 and played 3rd line
Year 3 he got up to 79/80 and played 2nd/3rd line
Year 4 he exploded up to 84 and holds down my 2nd line LW 30g, 25a in 62 games so far.

If you sign him to a 4-5 year deal when he's an RFA, he'll easily outperform his contract by the 3rd year.
