AlTito's NHL 16 Sliders

WOW! These sliders are near perfect! Playing with these sliders on all-star 6 minute periods. They seem to give the most realistic stats. Maybe I'll try 7 and see how the stats look. Can anyone gives tips at winning faceoffs? Put faceoffs all the way to 0. Still can't win one to save my life.

I'm pretty sure you guys are correct. I knew that period length wasn't real time in the last few years, so they probably changed that because periods indeed feel longer. I will try with 7 minutes periods too and see how it goes.

From tests that I have done in the game a few years ago (and I have no reason to believe it's any different this year), the results showed that:

With attribute effects at 0, attributes don't matter at all.

With attribute effects at 3, attributes are untouched.

With attribute effects at 4, attributes of 76 and above are increased while attributes of 75 and lower are decreased.

With attribute effects at 5, attributes of 85 and above are increased while attributes of 84 and lower are decreased.

With attribute effects at 6, attributes of 88 and above are increased while attributes of 87 and lower are decreased.

The difference between attributes of 99 and 90 is the most important with effect set at 3 while difference between 99 and 80 is the most important with effect at 6.

I'm new to the franchise, had 94 when I was a kid and licked up 14 on sale last year. I've gotten bored with Madden so I thought hockey would be a nice change. I have 16 now and enjoy BAP mode (since I'm really not good in controlling the entire team, or the little things that go into running a hockey team). I've heard on this site that Tito's sliders have been hands-down the best to use. Do they work well in BAP too? I have also heard to play a full 20min in BAP because of the amount of simming that you can do when on the bench. Comments? thanks!

My take on the period minutes.

Online, EA only has 5/10/20.

They bumped the EASHL/Online modes period minutes up to 6 under the hood. So 5 minute setting online is now 6 or 7. Games take longer.

Proof?

Go offline, default period length is 4 minutes. So 4 minutes the new 5? Play a 4 minute period game like i did and it felt like the game went by at the usual old school rate. Shots low, etc.

I think that in years past, 5 minutes wasn't a real 5 minutes (I remember some people made that test), so EA probably corrected that so now we have full real time. Right now, the default 4 minutes real time is probably similar to what the fast-forwarded 5 minutes was before. For those of us who were playing with 8 minutes periods before, no doubt we'll now have to adjust to 7 or maybe even 6 if we want to get a similar period length as we used before.

Yeah.. I'll try 7 minute periods tonight. I was at 10 last year and then went to 8, so if 4 is the new 5, then 7 is the new 8.

For people asking about BAP, it's hard for me to answer since I unfortunately don't play this mode at all. You may try the sliders and see if they translate well in that mode or not. I don't see why it shouldn't.
