How's Your GM Mode Going?

I'm about to start a red wings GM,a kinda off topic questions are there any GM help thread? I'm new to Nhl and need some beginners tips. I searched the forum but couldn't find a thread on it. Thanks in advance!

Anyone have any tips for stopping the CPU from messing my trade block up? Every time I see it the CPU changed everything.

i started a gm mode with the flames (just wanted to test some stuff) so simmed through the year... at the end of the year the 3 bottom teams in the league were the islanders, sabres, and blues...

...the interesting thing is all 3 of those first round picks belong to the sabres... at the draft the sabres had the first, second, and third overall picks and drafted mcdavid, eichel, and a very high goalie prospect... it was interesting

That's really interesting.. hope you keep going to see how good Buffalo does with those 3 players.

Jets win in a shootout over the Blues, 5-4

The Blues would score first, Corrvo (1) to put Blues on top 1-0, Scheifele scores his 18th and the first period end with the score tied 1-1. Blues go back on top on a goal by Pietrangelo (8) and then Backes (22) would put the Blues up 3-1 after two. In the third period the Jets get goals from Kane (24), Thorburn (4) and Perreault (8) and go up 4-3 over the Blues. Oshie would score his 19th of the season with less than a minute left in the game to end regulation at 4-4. No team would score in OT and the Jets get the two points, beating the Blues in the shootout.

Next up the Blues head to Minnesota to take on the Wild. Minnesota is 38-24-9 on the season good for 85 points and 2nd place over the Blues in the Western Conference.

I would suggest watching the GM Mode Commentaries of 2bcproductions2bc (Johnny Superbman) on YouTube. He goes over a lot of things such as the draft, trading, and free agency. It is the best place to learn about the mode, really. Good luck.

For me, whenever the assistant GM tells me that he has edited my trade block, I go and change it to my preferences. Usually he updates it at the beginning of the season, the trade deadline, before the draft, and after the draft and resign stage. Hope this helps.

What console are you on, & how did younget Eichel in your game?
Hanafin @ #3 for me if it was my choice, theres decent goalies to be had in the 2nd round, thru trades, or FA.
