No point of talking about it. It will never happen.

The occasional offline/franchise player could skip a year or so, sure. I know I wouldn't though if they kept improving the game in terms of AI, presentation and so on.

Its the lack of features that makes me not buying, not the other way around.
I don't know, man, maybe it's just pure laziness. I mean, look at their rosters (ratings aside), you can't get more lazy than EA. For example, John Gibson has the wrong pads for I think three years now, even though his actual pads ARE in the game. Lots of goalies have CCM sticks that nobody uses since 2015 or so. I do understand that they can't have every custom designed goalie gear in the game, but come on, at least have all the others accurate. I could do that in a couple of hours, but they seem to just not care.

The occasional offline/franchise player could skip a year or so, sure, but I would bet that most of us would buy the latest game if they kept improving the game in terms of AI, presentation and so on rather than stick with last years game. I know I would.

It’s a pity that this game is mutating to the Casino Gambler modes and away from basic NHL modes which it was early

You know what, I would bet that even that would not be a big issue if we were allowed more customization. As you said yourself, you could do it, share your creation/team/whatever and guys would download and be happy with the game (happier at least). EA would get dedicated gamers to do their hard work, get this out of the way and could concentrate on other stuff that is more important for them.

This is what EA is missing to understand: I'm a swedish guy who loves hockey. Not a big fan of Baseball and don't have any previous experience of basketball. I still bought both The Show and NBA2k because I was amazed of how good each franchise looked in comparison to NHL. Neither game would have attracted my attention if the consensus (even if it is taking a turn for the worse if I understand it right) was that the games were lacking in features/gameplay and so on.

So in the last three years a hockey loving Swedish guy bought a baseball game, a couple of NBA games but not a hockey game. Makes sense huh?

As a swiss guy (swedish, swiss, all the same, isn't it ) who loves hockey with a passion, I almost did the same. I bought NBA 2K19, The Show 17 and Madden 18, and I'm not the biggest fan of each of those sports (well, I do really like Football). Every one of these games blows NHL out of the water, it really is sad.

Imagine what happens when other developers see EA generating additional revenue by charging for a roster share feature or a logo and mask editor. Before you know it we’re all shelling out extra dollars for features that should and were in the games already.
The madness has to end.
This is it, this right here.

It's incredibly frustrating to me that a decade ago, EA was in many ways leading the charge in customization. They had Game Face, and maybe they still do, but it's underutilized. I feel like a technology such as that could be detailed to such an awesome level on the current gen. Most of all, they had their incredible 'Team Creator' (or whatever it was officially called) for the NCAA Football series. It was awesome to be able to jump onto the website and do all kinds of crazy things with logos, rosters, etc. I don't understand why a technology like that was just given up on after NCAA was no more. It's almost inexcusable how we have more technology than ever before, but are in so many ways going backwards.

Re: Creation Center - Would you pay for it

I've supported third party roster editors in the past, and always thought this would be a great add-on, and an extra way for EA to get money.
I'd actually much prefer to be able to edit on the computer, it's so much easier than typing with a controller

Which is something that they offered...for free...5 years ago.
