The hooks have no stopping power and no power.. It should have more power(damage) than both.

And I agree with the teep front kick- body has no power or stopping power. But we need to be careful with this strike if it has too much stopping power people will spam this alot.

What I don't like about the hit stun in this game it gives your opponent a free strike. I like stopping power but hit stuns is garbage and gives free strike. Same like the gnp hit stun. For me they can get rid of hit stun it is arcade. Like tekken hit stun after hit stun and then perfect. It encourages unrealistic combo because they can land a free strike after the hit stun.

There are people in div 6 who come forward high block so you try to punch their body but they counter you with 1,2 then leg kick which gives you a hit stun and they can land a free head kick. This is always 100% knockdown

Musasi make kick w follow up make Backfist to Bisping = full body hit reaction (b/c of CM and strong backfist) > follow up lead roundhouse head kick is landed clearly but does not cause Hit stun at all (b/c CM was reseted bt special strike, Backfist) > Bisping IMMDEIATELY w/o any delay (stun) launched his back roundhouse head kick and causes FBHR to Musasi.

All this is right from EA UFC 2 point of view, but IS NOT RIGHT from real life physics and realism (b/c Bisping must to be out of balance after clear head kick(in hit stun). and can not immediately to answer by kick, which lands so much early on Musasi recovery strike phase when his leg is returning back after successful kick).

Current EA UFC 2 strike mechanic is broken and i said this before.

But now i have a concept of new Striking mechanics, which will brings:
- realism
- hit stun
-less random, more planning and strategy in striking, more mindgame
- (!) balance between short and long reach fighters.

And this concept may change striking game even on current striking engine BY PATCH. And then may be developed more detailed for UFC 3.

I am ready to spend much time to write detailed and post it here, BUT i dont want to loose my time if decs does not need it - i was asked GPD about it - no response, i wrote short concept in pm to him - no response, i asked about GC opportunity - no response.
But i see so much responses from devs in useless flame discussions.

Yh that's the problem right there. He could hit you back even before your strike animation was finished. That's the kind of stuff right there that causes the striking to cater to spammers, button mashers and players that just wanna brawl. The head kicks and modified strikes get a hit reaction more often though. It's some of the useless lighter strikes like teep kicks they need to put a bit of hit stun on.

Calm down, it's maybe just a bug with the physics of the game.

How you catch a video sequence like you did?
dont forget champion are more resistant, they have very good stats and the stand-up is different depending on the player and his fighter you meet.
We have a very good game, Ground, clinch and stand-up, enjoy it.

You are wrong, you dont understand how striking mechanic works in UFC2.
You High kick is causing stun ONLY because of combo multiplier b/c after leg kick yr follow up high kick get dmg bonus. When dmg is 5 for ex it causes Full body hit reaction. Roundhouse high kick is 3.25 dmg, and it does not cause FBHR (Hit stun) but only when setuped by certain conditions like combo multiplier.
This is not a physics, this is a script scenarios.

In UFC 2 physics may be only take its role in landed strike or not but this role is so rare b/c strike are tracking you. Physics does not counts in dmg and hit reactions i this game - b/c all hit reactions are the same for several few types of strikes.

I can find a lot of case where there is a big hitstun causing by 1 only head kick but what you show is bad, i agree, it must be fix.
