Ducking dodges hooks and are susceptible to Upper cuts

Leans Left and Right dodge straights and uppercuts but are susceptible to Hooks

Leaning back dodges everything and is susceptible to body shots.

The only thing that needs tweaking is bonus damage from strikes following head movement and damage to those moving.

And damage in general (outside of combos).
Also ducking is supposed to mitigate some damage from body shots. I don't know about kicks but at least for punches.

Not sure how it would work in with current striking dynamics though.
Ducking is definitely supposed to evade hooks. It's what it's used for primarily even.

Got some MMA clips? How often is duck even close to the primary defense in mma for hooks?

Most of the videos I see of ducking under hooks are posted by people that are a decent amount shorter than person throwing the strike.

Should be noted MMA and boxing striking is different, which is why I don't agree with some of the hard combos in the game.

(There really shouldn't be any hard combos though)

the problem is the timming, if u wanna duck u have to do it just b4 the strike or your opponent shot should go to whatever your head is... right now doesnt feel this way... u can preemptive duck wait the miss and counter...

Count how many hooks miss due to very sloppy, panic ducking in this sequence.

And another

and another

Re: Ducks are overpowered

I like the game, I really do, but I don't see anything in the game that looks like that.

It looks like Cub ducks and leans or rolls a touch at a very specific time while throwing the counter. The rampage hooked missed because dude was failing, he wasn't straight up ducking underneath the strike.

Cub is also striking specialist.

So are you complaining about how the ducks look, or are complaining that ducks avoid hooks?

Only thing I complained about in this thread was hard combos, other than that just noting things.

If I was going to complain about ducking it would be the ease of the duck avoiding the hook and some other strikes. If someone ducks before my strikes starts wouldn't I just aim it down a little bit?
