Someone said ducks shouldn't evade hooks, and when challenged asked for proof that it happens in MMA.

Clearly it does.

No, don't ban yourself. I was half joking.

Half.

Let's just agree that it's possible to duck hooks and move on.

Re: Ducks are overpowered

Slipping hooks don’t have the same stopping power as ducking uppercuts and I feel like they should. Just look at McGregor, he looked for the left hand over the top of Diaz’s jab every time and dropped him from it.

I can land a hook over the top of my opponents jab after I slip on the outside and there is no hit stun?? Compare that to uppercuts, I feel like they should be near enough equal. A flush hook will put anyone down or at the very least stun them.

Ducking in MMA is actually more frequent than you guys think.. look at Mendes, Aldo, GSP, Pickett and Ross Pearson. GSP ducks under for a blast double, that is his signature move.

Speed up lunges and increase power on slipping hooks then I think it will be way more balanced than it currently is.

A video showing the importance of the smaller slip. He talks about the larger slips forcing you off balance and not allowing you to counter

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5m5fI5-Pmhw

This video details all the different slips and their strengths and weaknesses

GPD PLEASE review this video. It also mentions the smaller slips and dips(ducking in the game) and their differences.

If we could have our head movement system based off this video I will personally buy multiple copies of this game and go on different websites promoting the product.

8:47 of the video goes into detail regarding the importance of small concise movements regarding head movement and also it is reactionary

Detailed articles full of gifs explaining similar concepts. First article is head movement in general. Second article is it applied to MMA

cagecraft.net/index.php/2017/02/07/headmooment/

cagecraft.net/index.php/2017/02/27/head-mooment-part-two-adapting-for-mma/

If anyone can watch that video or read the article and still be satisfied with our current head movement I give up.

Sounds like you're referring to my post, and all's I was saying was ducks don't seem like primary defense for hooks up in MMA.

I could be wrong, that's why I wasn't really debating it much.

I've said it since beta and I will continue saying it;

Swaying and Ducking needs to consume Stamina.

Until they make this change, Swaying and Ducking will be spammed by everyone and the standup game will remain Rock-em-Sock-em-Robots, it's as simple as that.

Imagine rolling in Dark Souls took 0 Stamina. Just imagine that for a minute.

Some people have been asking for that since the first game. I'm kind of "it is what it is" on the matter. And most matters.
