Its a problem for the people here because they are impatient and want the news when they want it.

Which I understand but EA really isnt doing anything different than what they always do. They always announce 3-4 mos before release. So all this means is that we arent 3-4 mos from release now. It doesnt mean the game will suck. It doesnt mean the game is going to be great. It doesnt mean that the game is going to be cancelled.

It just means we arent 3-4 mos from release yet.

A lot of people complained about how “unfinished” UFC 3 was at release so I’d rather wait longer to get a more complete game.
None of us in this thread are saying that this game should be rushed. All i'm saying is they could give us something (info wise). For starters they can "announce" the game.

Fair enough. That's precisely the problem with EA, they haven't exactly had the best trackrecord as of late, many thanks to their particular marketing strategy. Not saying the game will 100% with certainty flop, i just know from experience when info on a game is dragged out or follow a certain pattern, it's usually a red flag, the lack of confidence in their product. No game should be rushed to the public, but lack of info on their product isn't great either.

Continuing to speculate on the state of UFC development in a pessimistic manner, despite the entitled and immediate want for info on this game has been noted TGOne. Please chill out.

Ill say this......it isnt a lack of confidence. The team is just chugging ahead and working on the game.

I tend to have this discussion alot on OS. For example, lets say the game is coming out in June (similar to UFC 1). That means we are 6 1/2 mos from release. That would also mean that given how development tends to work, the game wouldnt be in great shape to show the greater public.

Now they announce this week that the game is coming in June. No trailer because the game isnt trailer ready yet. No details about features because they tend to want the game to be closer to finish before they discuss those. But now you know a date and that the game is being released.

Would that be enough for you and most people here? I tend to think it wouldnt. That the same level of frustration would remain.

Thats why I've always thought its better to just start consistently dropping info 2-3 mos out (similar to what NBA 2k does) and with a beta. People get an announcement, a trailer and real info instead of spreading it over a half a year.

Just my thoughts.

Re: WHEN WILL WE RECIVE ANY NEWS ABOUT EA UFC 4?

I am optimistic, personally if I have seen improvements in the game from UFC through UFC 2 to UFC 3, I agree there is much to improve, but I think UFC 4 will be better than 3, and hopefully it makes us forget even the UFC 3 undisputed that would be very good, but if not, I think it will be better than UFC 3

They gave the most popular Superhero franchise (one that has good track record for games) to a company that developed some of the most popular PlayStation titles for 3 consecutive console generations and it was released for one of the most commercially successful consoles of all time.

How many of those 9 million people do you think knew about the Q&A, let alone played it? Similarly, this forum is a tiny minority of UFC 3 player base. They could release the game tomorrow with no gameplay footage and all 30 of us would buy it in a heartbeat.
Don't think so. Really? How so? RE3 remake has already been announced and is supposedly being released in April. UFC 4 neither has a date nor has it been announced yet, so how do you exactly come to the conclusion that they follow similar time frame as EA UFC franchise? And for your info the first official trailer and info for RE2 remake was released back in E3 2018, the game was released in late januari 2019, that's 8 months in between, so much for the same timeframe. Aside from that it was announced back in 2015, and in 2016 in Capcoms 20th RE anniversary video they talked about the progress of the RE 2 remake aswell, so your argument doesn't add up. What are you talking about? RE 3 remake is not based on RE 2, it has different characters, different setting/enviorment, enemy types etc. The game was probably outsourced along with the development of RE2 remake, but still doesn't valid your argument any further.

The most popular superhero franchise is Batman, not Spiderman, besides the Arkham series where far more successfull as games than the Spiderman games released so far, again your argument doesn't add up. Having said that, it doesn't change the fact it was insomniacs first attempt of a Spiderman game. You act as if EA haven't got the experience of releasing quality titles in the past? Now if that's you logic, explain how Tony Hawk's pro skater became literally the most popular and successfull sport franchise (aside from FIFA) in history, a SKATER game mind you, are you going to tell me that skating is more popular than MMA? Their recepie for success was two things, authencity and content.

Well many, wouldn't it occur to you that maybe that information in Q&A on forums would reach famous youtubers that uses these references that cover these particular games and eventually reach to the masses thanks to their following "buddeh". I mean that's how i got my info on that particular game, i wasn't exactly active on the forums nor have i've been interested in Spiderman. No, not me i've made myself clear on numerous occasions that i would not pick UFC 4 up if it doesn't furfill certain criteria, because they have already made three games that ended up short, not to mention have a far longer development cycle than the rest of the sport franchises. You don't know me, and i advice you to stop taking people for granted. Some of us are not shills, or don't have our hands tied to critically assess a game.

What data supports this? Tony Hawk had a great 6 yr run (99-05) but Madden and NBA2k's numbers have been consistently better for a longer period of time.
